You're entitled to your opinion, Chris, but the point we're making here is that they're becoming more family oriented while simultaneously building the big rides. If anything, the last four or five years have shown a real re-focusing on keeping things family oriented. And why wouldn't they? A family of four spends more on admission, food and souveniers than any single coaster dork.

single coaster dork.
Yes, that's me. Single, coaster enthusiast, and dork. :)

I also like Mean Streak (although I liked it better without trims running at full force) and always felt it was treated unfairly.
Mantis is my choice for the opposite. It's an okay ride, doesn't hurt me (like it does others), but it's just not exciting enough to me to wait more than 30 minutes for it.

One of my all-time favorite flat rides is Cedar Downs. Yes, it's cheesy, but it's fun!! When I ride it, it brings back a lot of good memories from my younger days visiting CP. I always have to take a spin or two on it when I'm in the park with friends.

Who's afraid of the big bad... sea gull?
Not too many people seem to care for Iron Dragon -- I just love a ride on that at night, flying through the wooded areas. I could do without the bugs but, oh well.
While everyone else seems to love it I don't especially care for MF. That is just too much coaster and too much hardcore speed for my taste. I did enjoy my one ride on it, but I doubt if I would ride it again.

Mean Streak and Mantis
My brother and usually my friends don't enjoy these two rides at all, but I love em. Mean Streak is a classic rough and tumble woodie, that can give some good rides with a short wait. Although some say Mantis is a "croch killer" (the stupid"est" thing I have ever heard) the whip turns keep bringing me back for more. If you just position your legs the way the signs tell you to, Mantis is a very enjoyable ride.
Snake River Falls
I get very cold and drenched in dirty water. Take only when necessary.
What I truly love is the Mean Streak. It is far too underrated.
It is hard for me to say what I think is overrated. I do not know. I'll have to think about it...

Cedar Point, the cure for the Summertime blues!
I would have to say Gemini or DT. Gemini, because of the "steep" drops, head-chopping feeling and the helix at the end! DT because I love the feeling of suprise! When it is dark you don't know where the drop, corner, or hill is going to be, I love it! Another one would be the L.E. C.P. Railroad, you can't beat the skeletons! And we can't forget the Sky Ride, a classic!
On the flip side, probably Mantis (boy that ride as been pretty popular in this thread!) I don't know, I just don't like it, I like the first loop, but the reat doesn't do anything to me

Its the ride, not the records!
I love Mantis, but a lot of people seem to complain about standing up on it. The standing up makes me feel like I'm really doing something and being adventurous. I love how my legs are just a little bit tired after a ride.
I can't think of any rides I hate. I've always been a person that sticks up for all of the little rides out there.
Not to many like the blue streak~ personally i do i rode it atleast 10 times last year
I dont really HATE any rides.. But.. i dont know.. the gemini isn't really a good ride.. in my opinion its kinda boring..
Your arms must be too short to high-five folks in the train across from you.

(whose arms are long enough to ruin other people's on-ride photos and smack nearby shrubbery)
All coasters are good coasters. To me there are non BAD coasters not even at SF:WOA.But I still like Cp's collection more and I will ride any of the 15 coasters at any time.
"Hey,Were Lacthkey Bots."
Well, not so much a coaster people hate, or don't like, but a very underappriciated one. Gemini. I will ride that over and over and over... A little slow in the turns, yes, but in the back you get great airtime, it is very smooth, and nothing beats slapping hands with someone in another train on the curves... Was I not supposed to say that? :)
As for overrated rides, I guess I would have to say Millennium Force. Don't get me wrong, GREAT drop, but after a few times, the novelty runs out. There are only 3 real airtime hills on that thing. It's still a good ride, but overrated because it could never have lived up to the hype.
Nobody has risen up in defense of the Cadillac Cars, so let me be the first to applaud the sheer amount of air time in that ride. Heck, you're in the open air practically the entire time - except on the covered bridge. Who can say more for their favorite?
