Point fans, I need your advice!!!

I'm heading to Cedar Point on Wednesday and Thursday of the second to last week in August. This is when the hours are shortened (they become 11am-9pm). Will this mean much less crowds? Anyone gone this time of year?

Also, I already have a plan of attack worked out; I know all the things I want to go on and when. Are there any specific tips I should know about getting around the park and maximizing my day?

Thanks SO much for any replies!!! So excited!

I'm not sure what the sudden obsession with planning ones entire day out is lately, but reduced hours typically mean reduced crowds. Just enjoy the park for what it is.

As has been said many times before, CP is a destination park. This means crowd levels are very difficult to predict since people will come every day of the week. That said, I wouldn't expect crazy crowds when you come. Planning isn't really necessary. Except for Raptor, I find CP's lines are pretty consistent throughout the day.

Ill add onto this thread instead of starting another for kind of the same question. When do the kids in the area go back to school? I know most schools start the last week of august, but not sure about the sandusky/toledo area.

Firemen never die, they just burn forever in the hearts of the people whose lives they saved

Start dates of individual school districts have no impact. Schools in the region generally start in late August and that's reflected in the operating hours.
