Platinum Pass Re-Entry...

How come the Platinum Pass is only good for one admission per day? I find it kind of a hassle to get a hand stamp. If i go to soak city and it washes off then im screwed. Im sure that the stamp is water proof but still i worry about it and it makes for a less enjoyable trip.

It's valid for one admission, because they don't want people getting in, and handing off the pass to someone on the other side of the fence. Although they have systems to prevent it, that's why.

Your handstamp won't wash off in Soak City, I promise.

Im gonna hold you to that lol and if it comes off in soak city i will be very angry lol

I beg to differ, last year while staying at Hotel Breakers I left the park arount noon to swim. After drying off I went to get back in the park But my handstanp was gone, and I just couldn't bring myself to pay $40 to get back in. At least I got a few ERT rides the next morning before we left. But why not use wristbands, fingerprints. I mean you'd think the picture would be good enough.

Wicked Rider, then you must have been scrubbing your arm on the cement after you got it wet, got it wet before it dried, or were looking at the wrong arm.

I got a handstamp on 6/17 to leave and come back, and when I did, it was still there on 6/20 after 6 showers. I could still see traces of the neon yellow stamp.

Did they do away with the blacklight stamps for this year?

Sunscreen will take the stamp right off your hand.

Isn't the whole reason behind only being able to use your platinum pass once a day so that it doesn't screw up the attendance numbers? If 100 pass holders left and came back again that would add 100 people to that days attendance that were never really there. Plus I know that when I'm staying at one of the resorts I sometimes leave and come back 3 or 4 times in a day so I could see their attendance being way off if they let you scan it more than once.

I'm pretty sure the pass scanning software is smart enough to not double count season pass entries, especially if its smart enough not to let you in the 2nd time.

The logical way to handle re-entry would be to have the pass as a "check-in / check-out" system.

The way it should be: If you wish to re-enter the park, you have to "check-out" and have your card scanned when you leave, and you cannot re-use it at any park but the one you left for that day... and set a minimum "away" time for say 30 minutes so that passing a pass back and forth would prove to be non-beneficial? Not that it really is now anyways with the photo software.

How are exit/re-entry handled at Soak City?

The only justification I can see for having pass holders get stamped is to avoid clogging the entry lines with people who would otherwise be handled more quickly via the re-entry line.

Handstamps John.

The real loophole would be me getting in, then leaving, getting a hand stamp and bringing my friend back with my pass. That's what they're trying to avoid I assume.

Is your friend also your twin? ;)

I'm guessing Soak City uses a different handstamp than Cedar Point then?

One is on the right wrist, one is on the left.

You took six showers between 6/17 and 6/20? You are one cleanly individual!

Who apparently didn't wash the inside of his wrist.

Well, it's not one of the four areas George recommended for speed-showering: face, pits, groin, a$$.

That's true, but if you've had time to take 6 showers, maybe you could alternate which areas you hit on each shower. Catch some of those other less often washed parts.

Two showers a day, and the stamp wasn't still there in full, but you could still see bits and pieces... not something I really worry about scrubbing the hell out of my wrist to get off. :)
