Platinum Pass at other parks

Actually Ben.gifford1, you'll find out earlier at the tollbooth when they swipe the card for your free parking. Good luck!

Good Point, i guess ill make sure i have cash to park then, just in case!

Did anyone buy a Platinum Pass from Cedar Point last year, activate it at King's Island, and go to the Cedar Point extended ride nights?

Also, has anyone bought a 2016 Cedar Point platinum pass and already activated it at King's Island this year?

Or maybe the better question would be: if my platinum pass is in the system with King's Island listed as the purchased and/or home park, will it still get me into the Cedar Point extended ride nights?

Just trying to make sure I don't miss out on any of the perks by visiting King's Island first this year.

-Thanks

A Platinum Pass is good across the entire chain. You get access to each parks perks as long as you got a Platinum Pass.

When I go to the ride nights at CP or attempt to get past the early entry checkpoints inside the park at either CP or KI, they don't actually scan the card. They just look at it to make sure it's a Platinum Pass, see the platinum color on the card and wave me through.

I actually had a friend just show his platinum colored credit card and got past the checkpoint.

I noticed that sort of lax verification last year. As long as you are already in the park, you could just have a friend's pass (who's not attending the event) or even a previous year's pass that is no longer valid when they "verify" for events like that.

And on the other side of lax verification - would be enthusiasts complaining that scanning the card was cutting into ERT.

Also, there is a ROI analysis, the park doesn't see any additional revenue from ERT. So why invest in more payroll hours or scanning equipment for these events.

People, just be happy they have the ERT, and stop worrying about someone else gaming the system. There's always going to be someone gaming the system.

It's nothing really new at ERT last year either, it's happened plenty in prior years. Maybe it will encourage the rules breakers to get actual platinum passes.

I got front row first train on Diamondback today. It was fantastic. The line was over 45 minutes when I got off the ride lol.

SV ruins all other rides.
