Ride on, MrScott!

^ I asked about the pricing, but apparently that fell under my one line answer as well...

No, I didn't call the info line... they said to call that for "any other questions"... so apparently they will not field any more questions about the Skyscraper ;)

I can pretty much say that it won't be open Friday. When it will open is the big question.

I'm no expert on ride construction by any means but I would guess that there is no way skyscraper will be open Friday or opening weekend at all for that matter. I was working on the RipCord video booth on Saturday and the ride only has a bottom section in so far along with what I think is a loading platform(?). All of the construction materials are in that parking lot and spread all around the RipCord area where you suit up. They used the area with that rubber floor as their workspace for tools and stuff and some of the fence is removed. At the very least, RipCord needs to be cleaned up by Friday (and before training).

P.S. To the RipCord crew: Sorry, I don't yet know the correct terms for suit up and the rubber floor area. I'll learn, I promise. :)

Ripcord will be open on friday, though, right? Because me and my friend plan to ride it on friday, so I was just wondering. :)

RipCord will be open on Friday at 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. as well as the rest of challenge park minus Skyscraper.

Hey guys, I have a couple questions.

The fiance and I are driving up tomorrow (Friday), and stopping to play golf on the way up (I have US Open Qualifying Monday) but are going to arrive at Breakers Express around 5-530pm. My questions are:

1) What would be the best sit-down resturant nearby (I've read of Fridays and Famous Daves).

2) She wants to go to Challenge Park Friday night since they're open. Now we've never been there before. I'm assuming just park back in the Soak City lot is the only way to get there, is there going to be a parking toll? We have the platinum passes from Kings Island.

3) She wants to ride Millennium Force first (Her favorite), so for early entry, can we enter through the marina entrance? Im not sure if it's open for early entry, I've only used the front gate everytime I've been.

Thanks a lot and hope everyone has a great Opening Weekend! (It's my first one ever!)

I like Ruby Tuesdays in the mall on Rt 250, its usually less busy. Rt 250 has tons of restaurants so there is plenty to chose from. Also Diana's Deli on Rt 250 north of the mall is good (also open 24/7 which is hard to find in Sandusky).

You can enter early through the Marina Gate, but you won't be able to park there. You can either park in the main parking lot and walk the outside perimeter of the park (alongside the Blue Streak) to the Marina Gate, or you can park in the Challenge Park/Soak City lot and enter in that gate.

Platinum Passes from King's Island should include the parking toll, I would call to double check.

Bay harbor is a very nice upscale place to eat if you are in to that.

I do have an kinda off topic question that deals with the season passes. I am going tommorow and getting my pass. I know should have done it earlier. I am going to buy my vouchers online tonight and get there about 830 tommorow to get in line. Will getting the vouchers online save me any time. I know it would have with the past versions of passes. With people that already bought them, will it save me time this year?

Yes, it will save you from having to stand in the line to buy your pass tomorrow. The actual processing of the pass is pretty fast too, so it shouldn't take you too long.

I just got mine this morning at Michigan's Adventure. I was surprised because it has my picture on it, I thought there were not going to be any pictures, but I guess MiAdv is different.

MiAdv is probably behind the curve as far as getting the new system implemented. I'm sure it will work in the same way as CP/KI last year. At CP, they scanned in the old way, at KI they scanned with the picture coming up on the screen, etc...

I seem to remember them saying that not all parks would have the new system implemented currently...

As long as Valleyfair stops weighing their tickets, I will be satisfied ;)

I would imagine though that my picture is in "The System" (tm) and therefore will appear just like anyone else's at the turnstiles.

Agreed! Like I said... that's how it was at KI last season.

"The System" (tm)... that makes it sound a whole lot more frightening.

Well I just bought both passes online and didnt know i could register them. I guess since i did that i dont have to fill out anything. I go with the voucher, they scan it, take my pic, and scan a card. streamlined

Correct. You take the voucher, have your picture taken, then pick up your pass. That's all. Simplified, streamlined, quick, smooth, painless, awesome process of processing. :)

Buying one there isn't even that much more difficult, even buying one for the first time.
