Once again, I have been put incharge of a small trip to the point for a group of classmates. There are eight of us total. We want to try to keep this as cheep as possible.

I have a Platinum Pass to use for myself. We will be staying in one of the lighthouse point cabins at a rate if $175

Car 1 hopes to get there around 9:00 or 9:30 a.m. and car 2 around 10:00 or 10:30 (depending on how many Starbucks it passes between PA and the Point) we are then staying over night and riding until 5 the next day before heading back to DuBois PA.

We are using our clubs funds for the cabin. Is there any way to pay without using a credit card? IE. Money Order or Check?

Would it be cheaper to get the tickets at the resort desk or get them from somewhere else?

Thanks

well with using a credit card you have to for the initial deposit. If you are staying multiple nights you can pay cash when you get there. The cheapest tickets are going to be at the front desk of where you are staying. Doing all season passes would be too much. Last year i know from breakers i got 2 day passes for like 60 something. Hope this was helpfull.

I am the only one with a Platnum Pass because I will be making many trips to the point once I am off of college.

I believe you need a credit card. Kind of "in case" you destroy the property I think.

I am going to call an ask tomorrow if a credit card is required so I'll know for sure.

Quick question

I just made the reservation by phone at 5:30 p.m. and was wondering how long it takes for them to send the confirmation email. I am kinda worried and this is going to bother me until it comes.

BTW I am paying by check and sending it in tomorrow.

I'm not completely sure, but there's at least a chance that it won't be "confirmed" until they receive, possibly even cash, your check.

I made two reservations for cedar point resorts. I mailed a money order

to cover the deposits and within three days i had the confirmation

e-mail. When they recieve the deposit, you will recieve the confirmation.

Have a great trip.

Well, I got my email.

Just one more question.

We have 15 students and staff going from DuBois Business College, but only 8 are staying over night. If I were to send in a group order to get the group rate, will the 8 staying over still get in early?

The answer to that should be yes. The card you receive for early entry, at least in previous years, is completely separate from, and isn't tied to your admission ticket.
