Placement of Jobs

What method does Cedar Point using in placing people with jobs? Do they offer returning employees first pick/their old ride back or is first come first serve? I want to work at Cedar Point next year and my dream is to work on Magnum. Do you think its possible for a newbie to get placed on a rollercoaster especially of their choice (Magnum)? Thanks in advance for the help.

Returning employees get info from cp about what rides or place they like to work. Usually they will get there first pic. Yes my friend worked on magnum and it was his first year.

yes it is possible to work magnum your first year, i am living proof! hopefully i will be back at mangum for 2003. can't wait for the phone call in january! if you want to work magnum, tell who ever interviews you and they will try to do their best. if you have any questions about magnum or working, look me up!

I, too, would like to op Magnum next year...and not just because of Kara either. ;) The only problem with this is that we couldn't ride it during employee ride nights.

All I can say is that I am happy that I worked food my summer there. Ride op=way too much responsibility! Being a space cadet I would not have been real good. Having a massive hangover could get someone killed.!

who wants to work on a ride that barely hits intervul and runs two trains. Maggie #'s killed Mantis #'s we squashed that ride like the bug that it is. although i will say that your crew was awsome. I had a lot of friends on the Mantis crew. you guys kicked some serious but some days. Way to go Kippy :)

Im telling you, Millennium Force is the ride you want! You get so much ride time its crazy!! Coaster895, just to let you know. I think about seven of the twenty-five or so crew members were returning employees. It was my first year in rides and I told them I wanted a big coaster and Millennium is what I got.
