are you allowed to work with your cartilage pierced? bc on the website it says only the "lower lobe". i was just wandering.
No, you're not. Girls are only allowed to have one earring per ear in the lowest hole. But it depends where you work. If a girl has long hair and doesn't mind wearing it down all the time, then she can normally get away with it.

This kind of goes along the lines of piercings; I know we are not allowed to show tattoos. i have 1 on each calve. How will I go about covering those up? I regret getting them but it's a little late to go back. was just wondering what they would make me do to conceal them. Thanks!
You can use cover-up, which if you're outside all day won't really work. Or you can use bandaids or an ace bandage. You can pretty much use whatever to cover them. I have one on each ankle and just use a bandaid. And one on my wrist that I use a watch to cover.

hopefully they make them big enough. Mine are about 4-6 inches long and 4-6 inches wide. I kick myself for getting them. Ohhh the things we do when we turn 18 lol
Use an ace bandage.

An ace bandage should work. I have a tattoo that takes up my whole foot and I had to use an ace bandage when I first got it.

Piercing's at cedar point is against the dress code and will lead to getting fired after 1 warning from any atl or tl that see's it they will tell you to remove it same if you show up and your a guy who has not shaved they will send you home to fix it or just suspend you for the day and write you up speeding on the causeway will get you fired and do not speed on the causeway or on any cedar point property if you drive a cedar point vehicle you must obey all traffic laws including the seat belt laws when off the point do not speed in Perkins township or any township around cedar point they will give you a hefty ticket just cause you work for cedar point theft is also a no no at cedar point they will fire you for that we had a few last year that stole key chains for shoot the rapids the park was not even open yet and the key chains they brought to work the next day and they were fired and thrown out of housing and cedar point gives you so long to be off the property before you get charged with trespassing and off to jail you go
Honestly every rule is completly different depending on where you work and how much your atl/tl/supervisor/manager likes you. Obvs some areas are more strict than others. But some rules within grooming guidelines can differ between departments. First years, please don't think all of this bad stuff is going to happen every single time an issue comes up. Every rule is taken care of differently depending on the situation. Of course you should follow the rules, but don't think if you accidently forget to take out your earring, you're going to get fired. Because you won't.

First of all no you cannot cover up piercings with a band-aide or anything else like you can tattoos. They are supposed to be taken out. Second, while it can vary by department, i can tell you in rides you are not getting away with it no matter who the supervisor or TL is. We will ask you to take it out and no you will not get fired for it, but if it becomes a habit or somebody refuses to take it out, then you can get in trouble.

But if you are a girl, and have a cartilage peircing, you can easily get away with it. Even in rides.

I know this isn't really related, but man, the blue tags can get hard on you! Since we're on the subject of getting in trouble for stuff, there was this time where I got 2 scoops of Toft's ice cream, which is over by the front of the sky ride. I had to walk it back to my employee break area, which is over by Iron dragon. It was about 95 degrees outside, and it started melting. I knew I wasn't allowed to eat food on the midway, but I -had- to lick it, or it was going to take over my arm. I licked it -once-, and a blue tag chewed me out. By the time I made it to my break area, half of my ice cream was dripping from my elbow.
As for tattoos, I know a few people who wore ace bandages on their legs, and it worked out fine for them.

You are allowed to cover up tattoos with an ace bandage however piercings that are in violation of the grooming guidelines are supposed to be taken out. Now with that being said I was probably one of the worst at catching these things because honestly there are more important things to worry about (watching the ride, mechanical downtime, operationals, etc...), but if it's obvious i would catch it every time.
As far as the ice cream thing goes, no whoever it was shouldn't have "chewed you out" for it but they should of said something. Imagine if one of the higher up managers would of walked by at that exact second, or a guest wanted to ask you a question and you were eating ice cream instead (i realize that is not the case but to them it could of looked that way). That is the main reason behind the rule and is the same reason for no cell phones on the midway. Most of the people in leadership are defiantly not like that but with anywhere their is going to be a select few that abuse the power.
