Picking days to go.. Holiday trip? Help!!!

Hi all! My first post on here. However, not my first visit to CP. I was just looking for a little advice on the days we have picked out. I have never been to the park on a holiday weekend but it is the only time we will be able to go this year. My home "park" is Darien Lake and i know its super busy on weekends alone, and even more busy on a holiday weekend. So either way im asusming a crowd. The dates we have picked are:

Option 1.) Friday Aug 31st - Sunday Sept. 2nd.

Option 2.) Sat. Sept. 1st - Mon. Sept 3rd (Labor Day)

Its only a day difference between the two, but im not sure how the park is on actual Labor Day. I know Saturday's alone are pretty busy in general so either way ill hit that crowd. Im just trying to avoid the other days (if possible)

That's hard to say. I've been a couple of times on Labour Day and once was absolutely dead and the other time was pretty busy. I've never been on the Friday, Saturday, or Sunday so I can't comment on those days. But I'd say you have better odds of Monday being less crowded than you do on the Friday.

I have been going to CP on memorial/labor day weekends for the past 6 years. Sunday is usually the busiest day out of the whole weekend. However, I think your first option would be the better of the two.
