I'm done arguing this, let it go man! I never attacked your crew or how many people you can put through an hour. I know how much work goes in to a successful crew. I love your ride and would love to just install one in my backyard for fun. The original intent of my post was to say that while it is a major roller coaster, it may not be at the same level as a Dragster, Magnum, Millennium Force, or Raptor.

Now, was my post about knowing for a fact Wicked Twister's riders very childish? Yes, it was. I'll completely admit mistakes I made. I had a very bad weekend and ended up missing two classes due to an alarm deciding to not go off. So, yeah, I was cranky. I'm not usually like that and you can ask anyone on my crew why I had a bad weekend or check out my blog. I in no way tried to take the "moral high road" in my post, I just saw where this thread was going and didn't think a war over rides was quite the point of this thread.

I agree with Jeff with regards to technology, is it possible? Of course it is. Just program the sensor to only go off on one cycle. With regards to ridership, it's very true that a short line does not neccesarily mean low numbers.

However, when being in this area approximately an hour or two before close the line does die down considerably, and like most rides in the park you start sending trains with empty seats. It happens on Corkscrew, it happens on Wicked Twister, it happens on most rides.

Now, as far as the argument of increasing income with minimal expenditures a camera is a quick way to boost profit. I agree completely with this, but if we take the argument of: high ridership+camera=$$$, why isn't there a camera on Gemini? I'll tell you why, the interest in the product isn't there. I've seldom heard a guest say "Wouldn't it be great if there was a camera on Twister?" I've even gone as far to bring it up with guests on occasion, and have been told they'd rather have a Dragster photo.

Ok, in summary:
-there is no hate being spewed, I don't hate anyone here, nor would I get in a fight over ride pride
-I know low lines do not equal low ridership,
-it's been recognized that while the concept would be an interesting idea, and technologically possible, without a want or need for a product sales would not expect to be high.

I'm not a fighter, I'm a lover.

You might want to work for a day on our platform then. We're constantly asked if we have a camera on our ride... and then have to come up with excuses why we don't.

Up in Snow Country, SV's the first major coaster since '96...you'd think if there was a way, we'd have one.

Can anyone think of an inverted launcher with on-ride pics?

Good call! I totally forgot about that. It does the photos right there on the launch too, and Volcano has essentially the same trains (though shorter). I guess that pretty much makes the case.

What time does the water show start?

Hmmm...there also seems to be a wider distance between the seats of V:TBC than an impulse. Looka this photo and compare it to this one--both photos from the side of each train. I know I can easily touch the preceding rider's seat with my feet on an Impulse and it doesn't appear to be as easy from V:TBC. Any word from an actual rider?

Again--I have no scientific evidence of anything. I just can't see a park with a new coaster and a new cam not putting the two together unless it was very tough to impossible to do.

I was just looking at the WT wallpaper at the GTTP home page and the seats seem to be far enough back from each other that a camera would be possible.

I guess CP figured with TTD being something like an impulse that people are more likely to spend their money on that than on WT.

Also, Magnum has not always had the photo booth, perhaps if their was enough intrest for a WT camera shot it could be added in the future.

When did Magnum add the photo booth? The first time I rode it (in 1990 or 91 I think) there was a photo - did it not have one the first season?
I thought they added it in the mid 90's, does anyone know for sure?

Or was it added when Mean Streak was new, which would have been 1991.

Hmm... I have a picture from both Magnum and Mean Steak.. I know the Mean Streak picture is from 1991... and I only went once that year (closing day), and I'm wearing a different shirt in my Magnum picture.. and I'm pretty sure the Magnum one was from before. So, I'm guessing they installed it in 1990. Anyone know for sure, though?
Well I contacted CP through their home page and they have had pics available since '89.
