Phone Interview

To the past/current Cedar Point employees - what was your phone interview like? What were some of the questions that were asked?

I have my screening with Steve Voorhees, and I'm kind of nervous/excited :)

If you are a first year starting this year you will have to do an one on one or Skype interview, they will give you the info when you go set up your time

They don't use Skype for returners, do they?

I don't think he's using Skype, He asked for a phone number and said it was a phone screening. It might vary by manager though.

I was wondering about this as well, Debra just said she would call me and it's my first year. Will I have a 2nd interview on Skype?

Not sure. Ask CoasterKyle. He has already been hired for Maverick TL.

Unless it's something new, I've never heard of them conducting interviews with Skype. It's always just been over the phone, unless you make it to one of their job fairs.

I'm getting a phone interview next week and I'm a first year. It might vary by manager, unless they do two interviews. But still, Skype has not been mentioned.

I didn't hear anything about a Skype interview but there was a Skype number in the email. Either way, I'm just excited to finally get an interview at CP!

The Skype thing must be new because they didnt do it last season. My sister and I only had 1 interview so if its 2 interviews now I dont know where that came from either.. Also sound like you want the job, show some enthusiasm.

after the phone interview there is a second interview to set up with Skype. My Best Friend has his first interview and had to set it up! I'm not sure if its just for first years or not though.

I'm so glad I'm not a first year. I'm the most socially awkward person on Skype, ever.

Skype should be interesting, I have a framed poster of a bunch of rides (mostly Cedar Point) behind me, so it's probably going to be in the background of the interview.

That's good that it's just for first years, because I don't even have Skype. That's why I was askin g you so many times MillenniumSpork. I was just nervous that I had to set up an account. Glad I don't have too.

ohhh, same here. I'm glad I didnt have a skype interview my first year because I pretty much had to run home so i looked gross haha.

It sounds like a good idea, but I'm surprised it's a requirement. Unless it's something you already use, not many people have the technology readily available. I've been in IT for over a dozen years, and I've never owned a webcam.

My old foods manager just posted a status about how she can't hire until they get some webcams.. I guess Skype interviews are new this year?
