Perks?

I was wondering what perks are included with your Employee ID card. They gave us a list of outside restaurants and shopping places that offer great discounts, but are there any perks inside of the park?

Don't quote me on the exact number, but we get a percentage (I think 10%) off all park food, and I believe merchandise. Obviously this doesn't include the Best Day Bistro and Stagecoach Cafe, as those are already dirt cheap.

So pretty much the same as a platinum pass? I'm going to apply for next summer as well, do you get free admission when off the clock? In other words, should I even bother renewing my platinum pass?

Yes you get free admission when off the clock. Just don't wear your uniform.

If you are an associate, I would not get a platinum pass. Your id includes:

• Free admission to Cedar Point, Cedar Point Shores, and all Cedar Fair Parks
• Free parking for the above
• Free comp tickets for friends and family- the number depends on how long you work for CP.
• Access to employee only ERT nights and the occasional picnic.
• Discounts on food and merchandise (except for brand name franchises- dippin dots, auntie Anne's, subway, etc). There is always a huge tent sale in August of merch that cannot be sold in the gift shops.
• Discounts at some businesses in Sandusky
• Really cheap FunPix (CP only)

Really the only thing of a Platinum pass that is not included is the passholder ERTs and the option to add drink and meal plans on.

A merchandise/souvenir clearance sale for employees.

The tent sale is a clearance for merchandise that is damage in some way. There are some things that are so small that it not noticeable (or stuff that says another Cedar Fair Parks, that cannot be sold at Cedar Point). Worth going to.

Another perk of being an employee is you get into other Cedar Fair Parks for free with your ID (given that you are still currently employed by Cedar Point).
