People are stupid

This happended 8.11.03.

While in line for front seat, a couple of girls my friend and I met in line got on. They let them up the lift, then all of a sudden, we heard a strange sound. The up comming train stopped. I looked up the lift, the train stopped not to high up. They were baking in the sun. I asked someone what was going on, he said "Some stupid ba-- unbuckled his seatbelt." He didn't cuss, just about did. They had to bring out some people to go up in the bucket and tell him to get it on. But I'm amaized how the found out he unbuckled it. Fifteen minutes later they got it all back going. My friend and I got the first full re-opening ride. Everyone cheered. It was cool. =D

This happend to me while I was waiting for the back seat. Put an extra 15 minutes to my wait. Some people are just dumb.

I've noticed that either the booth operator or the forward ride ops checking restraints eyeball everything on the way out. That's so lame and I hope they booted his ass out of the park.

I was told by a ride op on Millennium Force that they do kick anyone out who unbuckles their seatbelt on the ride. But yet I watched the train come into the unload station, and I didn't see anyone get escorted down the ramp to the car ride. :)

Nope. They didn't bring anyone down. They just went up there, told him to buckle up (I would swear at his ass) and let it go. They should've taken him down, let everyone know 'this is the moron who made you wait an extra fifteen minutes. The line starts here for free punches/kicks.' *shrugs*

I used to unbuckle my restraint on some of the coasters for more airtime. I now understand how stupid I was! I rarely agree with Jeff but on this issue he is dead on! Falling off of a ride is not how I want to meet my maker!

Speaking of pee; I was in line for Mean Streak, and some kid pissed his pants. They closed the front. *shrugs* But he was a little kid and his father said it was his first roller coaster. But yeah, morons breed morons. They will be here forever. >=|

my cousin told me once about how him and his stepbrother were riding magnum and right before they went over the hill, his stepbrothers seatbelt 'accidently' came off. Im not sure how that could be an accident.lol

Yea, I did that onSteel Force at Dorney. Great airtime. On MF I wouldn't. That first drop is too steep to do that. And I also feel bad for the kid.

Personally, I think it's retarted to take off the seat-belt for more air time. ;o

From my expierance as a ride op, the people that like to be dumb and take off their seatbelts after they leave the station are usually the ones that come back and blame the ride op's if they get hurt due to their own stupidity. Come on people just leave you seatbelts on or you deserve to get hurt, simple as that.

I live in Indiana, and some rumors came up that she took her own life by getting out. Some people said she was the type who wouldn've done it, some said she was just thrown from the ride.

If you don't wear the seat belt, you'll get what you're asking for. I don't care if it'll give a better ride. You'll risk your life for some petty air time? Go ahead.

But that's the thing, it doesn't provide a better ride. It's a myth. Seat belts give while holding you in. There's plenty of air.
