pay scale...?

Hey all, small question. I was looking at my contract online and it has one portion called pay scale. Can someone explain what this is to me? I've tried looking it up, but no dice.

What job did you get hired for? If it's a server at any of the food locations chances are your pay scale is $2.50/hr, not $250. Maybe you should recheck.
