Hello!
I'm hoping to be a Screamster at HalloWeekends this year. I was wondering if any past Screamsters (or other park employees) had information about the whole process and about how early move in would be/can be to live in employee housing for Halloweekends? I'm really excited, my application is moving through the steps and various people, so I'm hoping I get chosen! Thanks for your comments!
yes if you want you can im me tothie08 or private message.
usually you can move in the day before opening night, you will first go throught the steps of hr just as anyone else does. be sure to bring your ss card. if you have specific questions post them and we will try to answer them

Basically after you apply and get hired, you'll be scheduled for a date to process in and do your HR training. Then in early September there is "Scare School" which is Screamster specific training. Then September 16th is dress rehearsal night, where you'll actually go to your zone/house and see it with all the fog/lighting/music turned on. Your team leader will show you the ins and outs of your particular area and show you the best ways to scare in your zone's surroundings.
There's a bunch of us Screamsters on this forum, so if you have any other questions post them here and somebody will definitely try to answer them. Feel free to shoot me a PM if you'd rather do it that way.

yup another here to help, and actually scare school is starting in late august this year. Since we're hoping to hire around 400 people trust me we'll be glad to have you, and with that many people we need to spread the classes out more so we can shuffle everybody through.
Some general info if you don't know yet, the most hours come from working in the haunted houses and doing the parade, since they are open longer, but if you ask me the outdoor zones are a lot more fun because they offer more freedom and variety.
I actually tried to process in today since I was in the area and probably won't be till the season starts, but alas they said it was too early even though my start date is mid august. Let us know if you want to know any other specifics.

S.T.A. - died with the Fright Zone
Thanks again everyone! I'll be at the park tomorrow-I scrounged up some money so I'm leaving in about 45min to drive overnight and get to the park. If anyone will be there or would like to meet up, please message me or email me at ali.kersten@yahoo.com and hopefully I'll be able to meet some people!
Definitely makes sense to have some more scare school sessions this year with all the extra people. I can't believe we're only about a month away from getting all that stuff rolling. Time for me to start digging up my notes from last year...
Hey everyone! I'm at the park and have great news!!! I was hired!!! If you're here, let me' know-I'd love to meet fellow screamsters!
well you'll meet at training, and the first week or so in the ballroom you'll get to know a lot of people. we're pretty open and nice group.

just a friendly reminder, when you process in you WILL NEED your social security card. This is something new this year, and it MUST be presented at the time you process in. I have seen many people recently have to travel back home to get their ss card.

A passport will also work in place of a social security card, unless that was recently changed...though the stuff I was sent still had it listed.

as far as i know everyone must have a SS card. I remember when I processed in seeing tons of internationals and locals alike get sent away. I will double check on this though.

Now they're requiring a SS card, at least for US residents, I'm not international so obviously I didn't find out about that process!
And, I just got hired for a cashier position before HalloWeekends!!!! I'll process in on August 9th :-)
Last year, they required either your SS card or a passport. I had neither at the time, and they sent us into town to someplace (I forget) to get a certified print out of our SS number... Just remember to bring your SS card.
CedarPtForever: Welcome to Terror Island and the Parade. We'll see you at training.
