Passes for children of divorced parents

I've always wondered if a pass would block access if scanned in twice at the same park in a day. For example, you leave the park and don't get a hand stamp (or it washes off). Then, you go eat somewhere and decide that you want to go back in CP.

With a season pass, I've never risked not getting a hand stamp, fearing there was 2nd-scan block to prevent people handing off a season pass to look-alikes. Can anyone confirm?

I tired this past season (2012) I was like I don't need a hand stamp I have a season pass! Well I was wrong you HAVE to get a hand stamp on the way out you cannot scan into the park twice in one day. They did eventually let me in after I bitched and moaned but still not worth the chance they tell you to get out.

On another note. If you go to two seperate parks in one day your pass WILL WORK for both parks. I'm assuming it's set one entry per day per park.

Took advantage of KI Early Entry then cruised up to Cedar Point on the way back to MI. I thought for sure I was going to have trouble but worked perfect :)

Yeah, I tried using my pass twice in the same day at KI this past summer. We went in for early entry for a bit and then went back to the hotel. I neglected to get my hand stamped on the way out and when we came back later in the day, the computer refused my pass (red x'ed). They eventually let me through with photo id proof, but not without a stern warning that I need to get stamped for re-entry to the park and not to let it happen again.

Awesome, thanks. Another mystery buried in my mind has been solved. :)

That's an example of what I assume is a software decision driving business, instead of the other way around. I'm sure the software doesn't want to count you as two entries, but it doesn't make sense. Computers know how to count, so tell it what to do. There's no real benefit to not allowing you to have your pass scanned more than once a day from a business standpoint.

Which is why they seem to be okay (after arguing a bit) to letting you back in. It has your picture. it's not like I can give it to a friend (unless he looks remarkably like me) and we're all 100% sure you can simply program the computer not to count you twice.. so what's the hang up?

Tim M. You da man! For going to Kings's Island and CP on the same day! Now I have to change my goal to KI, CP, Thirsty Pony, bowling and BW3 on the same day.

OK. What about passes for identical twins? Do you buy two?

Not allowing multiple re-entries with the same pass was driven by the fear of people entering, obtaining that day's handstamp, and then giving their pass to friends to allow them in. I believe this was first implemented when the only identity verification was the relatively low-resolution photo that used to be printed directly on the pass. Since then, they have become much more strict about comparing the (higher-resolution) Gate Central pass photograph to the person presenting it, so I'm not entirely sure it's still a totally necessary precaution.

Hahahahaa I wonder what the record is as far as number of CF parks entered in one day lol.

I've done 3 in one day. I doubt anyone has done more than that as there aren't 4 parks close enough to each other to give you enough time.

(KI,CP and Geauga Lake)

A fun 3 parks in a day would be to start at either Kings Island or Canadas Wonderland and hop a plane to either Kansas City or Minneapolis/St Paul for a long layover, hit the park there then fly to Los Angeles and finish the day at Knott's. Not much time to ride anything at any of the parks, but I can't imagine driving between parks leaves much time to ride anything either.

Well, KI to CP took about 2.5 hours and from CP to GL only took about 1.25 minutes. Granted, that's speeding a bit but my ex drove quite fast, she was really cute so she never got a ticket. So with that you are looking at just under 4 hours spent in the car.

If you change GL to MiA, that goes up. It's about 4 hours from CP to MiA so you are looking at 6.5-8 hours plus in the car depending on how fast you drive.

2.5 hours from KI to CP is not at all a possible time. It is around 4 hours. I don't care how cute you are..

If you want to do the math she did a bit over 90MPH on 71, once she hit Mansfield, 15 over on 13, and 10 over on 250.

Google maps says 3.75 hours for that trip, but they assume you are a sane, reasonable driver and that you make occasional bathroom stops. But lets do some math

Taking 71 up to 13, you will travel 142 miles.

That's 1.5 hours traveling at 92MPH.

Now, that gets you as far as Mansfield.

So from there you take 13 to 250, which takes you to the park. According to Google Maps, that leg of the trip will take you 1 hour 23 minutes. I'd be more than willing to say she shaved off time from that estimate too. lets say she shaved off 15 minutes.

So yeah. 2.5 hours isn't very far off. 2.75 hours is probably closer but hey, it's been 6 years.

So yeah, she had a bit of a speeding problem,to put it mildly, but she has a cleaner driving record than I do and I don't even drive 5 mph over the speed limit. Stupid "failure to use merging indicator" ticket.

If anyone passed me at 92 mph, I WOULD call the police and tell them there was a reckless driver on the road.

The one thing I have noticed at KI is that our CP Platinum pass pictures do not show up on the computer screen when scanned. If I remember correctly, it just showed a green circle (or red x) where the picture usually displays.
