Parking pass windshield policy!

Did anyone email their displeasure about the windshield decal policy for 2007 to CP Hdqs., or has the Great Oz spoken? We have 6 season pass holders in our family and use 3 different vehicles, depending on the circumstances.

Yes, there have been several prior discussions about it, and as far as I can tell, we're not going to get our way. Even though having three stickers from the three parks on the same windshield is illegal in Ohio.

I have a question regarding the parking stickers... how does one remove them from your windshield??? I had an employee sticker placed on my windshild this eason from cedar point and now it will not come off! What does it take to remove them or is it permanantly affixed to my windshield?

Carefully use a razor blade to scrape it off, and then use some window cleaner to clean the residue.

A heat gun helps as well.

Do they put the sticker on your car or can you do it yourself? I realize this sounds dumb but if they put it on crooked it will bug me all season long. It is bad enough having the sticker on there but I don't want it to look any more trashy than necessary.

In the past someone from Season pass would come out to your car and afix it to your windshield. Same held true when one had to go to the main gate to get the parking passing.

I remember they also have a scraping tool that took off my previous years sticker in less then one minute!

I wouldn't let anyone put the sticker on for me. I don't care how quickly they can remove it.

Well, then I assume you won't be getting a sticker?

I got a sticker on my car the year I bought it, and they absolutely would not let me do it myself. I wasn't even allowed to put the sticker on my own brand new car.

djDaemon's avatar

Yeah, I can't understand why they must do it themselves. I can see why they would want to at least witness me applying it, though.

Call me anal, but I don't want to have a crooked sticker in an inconvenient place on my windshield.

Brandon

You're anal. ;)

I, personally, wouldn't want anyone touching my car like that, especially if it was new. Having it crooked would affect me, I don't like things visibly out of place. Yeah, yeah, I'm anal too.

True. :)

Dang, someone I know said you could use clear plastic wrap and stick it to the sticker, use Vasaline to stick it to the window (or even clear tape)and that way you can make it transferrable. Darn, guess that won't work if they put it on for you.

^ Not to mention, I would imagine that might fall under their definition of "Fraud" and/or "Abuse".

Not saying they're not good ideas, but I would think they might frown on that. :)

Yeah Betsy, what are you thinking?

We put the clear plastic wrap around our Six Flags parking sticker and it worked out great, diddnt even get caught. It seems that CP is much more anal about their sticker.

I am upset now with the PARKING PASS in 2007. They aren't letting people to have their Parking Pass on their Season Pass. I can't drive because of the problem I have; so I don't know what I'll do with the PARKING PASS if I should take it back or what. I usually go to the POINT over 25 times and the person or the group I have gone with didn't have to pay, and now the Parking Lot is $10. I hope they will change it it back so the PARKING PASS will be able to come on my SEASON PASS.

The employees are pretty understandable about people being anal about the stickers. I know I would always show them EXACTLY where I wanted the sticker and would tell them to please be sure it is on straight.
Being forced to have 3 separate stickers it is going to be almost impossible to keep it from looking tacky regardless of how careful all the employees are.

Also for those who have never had a sticker put on their windshield before be sure you don't use Rain X or anything like that where they will put the sticker (lower right hand corner driver's side) or your stickers(s) won't stick, and if they do they will more than likely fly off later.
Trust me on this one-ask my hubby! ;)

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?
