He said she said is inevitably wrong or grossly overstated. I doubt very highly the Kinzels go around sharing corporate game plans with their friends. It's just something not done in the industry for competitive reasons.
I know I've said this once or twice, but those who know don't talk... those who talk don't know.

Does CP really need another hyper or giga coaster anyway? I'd think two is going be a lot to handle.
I think in the next five years it would be cool to see a floorless or on that yo lie down like at SFGA but have them be the tallest and longest lunch coaster. In the next ten years it would be nice if they were the first park to brake 415 feet so the repeat there patern
Aren't all lay down coasters floorless?

That is a cool idea to eat lunch on the new roller coaster. It should save a lot of time that people usually spend in concession lines. LOL
They own the land from there amusement park all the way back to RT 250 along the main causeway and all the land along the back causeway to RT. 250. They have been doing this for at least 3 or 4 years. It may not happen that they expand but i think they probably will.

Welcome back Millennium Force riders...We all want to know how was your RIDE!!!!!
Rt 250 ends at Rt 6, over a mile from the Cedar Point Causeway. They do not own that land. The land between the Cedar Point Causeway and Rt. 250 is filled with an off track betting place, three radio stations, numerous gas stations and hotels, restaurants, a shopping plaza, etc.
Take a look at http://www.schmidty.com/250.gif to see how far 250 is from Cedar Point.
As far as the land surrounding the Causeway to the light at Cleveland Rd / Rt 6 and the land on Chausee from the willow trees to Cleveland Rd / Rt 6, they've owned that for more like 3 or 4 decades, if not twice that in some instances.

OK the land I am talking about is the causeway and all the land on the chausee. As far as I know they own the land on the causeway to where it meets 250. where TGI friday's is and all that. I know they don't own any farther than that. Anyway they may make a parking lot near TGI Friday's somewhere around the main entrance to the CP causeway. and turn the current parking lot into rides. Just a rumor, Might or might not happen.

I think you mean Rt. 6 (Cleveland Road), not Rt. 250 (Milan Road).
Where is there room near Friday's to build a parking lot? I suppose if they got rid of the hotel there, filled in the water ...
I think the owners of all those homes on the Chausee would be surprised if they found out CP owned their land.

you know gemini I really don't know were they would put in a parking lot near tgi friday's. You are correct about the land on the chausee. Sorry my bad there. All I am saying is i have heard they may put in a parking lot there, and shuttle people out to where the rides are now. Anytime someone says a rumor everyone expects them to have the details down to the millimeter, well I don't. Pardon me I would like to apoligize to all who posted in this topic; i admit it would have been better if I stayed out of this one.

What if they built a second "phony" causeway that leads to a fake Cedar Point. This would create enough of a diversion to keep crowd capacity limited. They could still make money by charging $6 for parking on the phony causeway side. :)
LOL!!!! I would be the one driving into Lake Erie!:)
