Park Staff Zone

Hey all I have launched park staff zone.com which is a website for park staff to share stories and other things. I am also lanning to do a data base like tideblue was last year but with more depts. Hope you check it out and tell me what you think. I am looking for suggestions.

You sholdn't use this site to advertise another site. My opinion.

I have been posting on this site for a while now. Ain't like I just joined this site. Plus it has to do with cedar point employees.

I'm always happy to see a park staff page. Back when Higbie did it, he had all the departments. And that was pretty cool and useful because some people, such as myself, like to meet other people in various zones. Now I liked TideBlue, but they focused on Rides only. While that's nice, and appreciated, I'd take many departments any day. So, I appreciate you doing this. Looks good.

I get an error very frequently on your website. Other than that I think its great. Good Job!!!

The only beef I have with the site is the "Employee Gossip". If supervision finds out what you've done via a website that's announcing it, then I'm pretty sure that's grounds for termination. Afterall, that is a website to go to after work. I like the other stuff though :). God Job!

I don't see the problem with the gossip section. Its no different then what some people would post on here. Not to mention that if someone was dumb enough to do something to get them fired, AND talk about it online, then that person probably deserves to be fired to begin with. I say keep it on the site, but it doesn't matter to me seeing as how I wont be using the site. Good job though.

I totally agree. How is it any different than this website? People that are dumb enough to post something that is against the rules and could get them fired deserve to be fired.

Since Hiring will be starting soon I have added my contact information to the Cedar Point Staff page so when you find out where you will be I can add you to the list. I will do every dept.

What would be really cool is if someone wrote a database app that people could add themselves automatically to a page that 'ran itself' ;)

I was testing that but I was having some problems with it. I am still looking for something for it though.

Well, what do you know, bholcomb. I've got just what you need..dynamic staff assignment site. Little messy at the moment, but it works:

^You might want to fix a few things.

Challenge Park needs RipCord/Skyscraper, not trampolines. You also forgot pet farm, and "aquatic technician" might want to replaced with "Pumps".

In Rides, the four zones are now three areas. Those rides per area you'll have to do some digging up on, as I don't know all of them per area off the top of my head. Also, Sweeps is Park Operations, no longer Park Services.

Traffic is part of Park Services.

Please don't feel like I am picking on you, making fun of the site, or anything like that. Just trying to be helpful and give you updates. The site looks good, though.

I've been away from the park for awhile, so all the help you feel like giving is very much welcomed.

And I'm now on there, quick and easy!

I'm guessing that site will win you a stern letter from Cedar Fair Legal! I'm quite sure they won't particularly care for your use of their trademarked name!
