Proud to be. We like to be called nerds though.

Alright then. Nerds it is. :)

I'm only poking because Ben's my buddy and I've seen him with his radio before at CP.

Yeah. It's less easy to carry around now that I've got a 18" antenna on it as opposed to the 10" one that came with it.

Well, if you went and rented one of the motorized scooters you could just attach it to that. Maybe put a rebel flag on the back and some big ole mud tires.

I used to be able to pick up the McDonald's drive-thru on my scanner. Yeah, it was really entertaining for, oh, about 30 seconds. :)

I picked up the McDonald's signal for 6 hours today. Except I was the one taking orders.....gotta get a new job!

I'm too sexy for my harness!

^ That is why I would listen. It would be fun to hear the "Behind-the-scenes" stuff.

Or you could get paid to go behind-the scenes......Apply now at www.cedarpoint.com .

I live in Alabama. That would be quite a daily drive just to go to work. :)

They did sometimes! :)

Wow, it's a little creepy to think people might have been listening to me on the radio. However, I don't know how many people are interested in the Games/Merch channel...

99er, it's funny you say that because I live maybe 10 minutes from Alabama Adventure. :) I'm going to get a season pass next year. They only have 2 coasters. But how cool is to say, "Hey, I'm bored...so I'm going to pass time by riding a coaster."

I can totally see enthusiasts listening in. I think I would if I had a scanner. Maybe I'll ask for one for X-mas. Naw, I'm not that addicted. Scratch that.

"Mean Streak crew 2004"

Nearly everything said is in a code #, excecpt for 'mechanical, weather, and operational' Good luck finding out what they all mean!

Huh? Even Mechanical, weather, and operational have their own codes and signals.

No they don't. Weather may have it's own code for severity, but things can be called out 37 mechanical, 37 operational, 38 weather, etc. Silly Miker.

I've heard managers yelling at their supervisors for being loud and obnoxious on their radios.

I've definitely used the "Greatest Ride in the World" tag on the radio...

And no, it's not Disaster Transport...

Radio shack if they are still in your area sells a Freq book for about 30.00 they even give you the common lingo. Even though 10-codes are going bye bye(yea right. Some of us firemen, like to listen to what other counties or those pesky police men are up to. We even get the Digital encoded channels.

Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.
