I'm going to go with nay. Part of the rides that makes it nice is hearing the actaul train and listening to nature.

Maverick perhaps? I wanna RIDE ON.

I know Great Movie Ride at Disney Studios does that. Your ride gets hijacked and your guide kicked off. And then in another scene he "rescues" you.
Yes, and when you're 3 years old, that haunts you for a long time.... ;)

I vote for leaving it as is. Though, I would like to see them do something with the ride for HalloWeekends.
Hmmmm *stroking goatee*
I wonder how hard it would be to make one train look dilapidated and "ghosty" while still keeping it safe and running?

The first couple of years they did have something for HalloWeekends. I'm not saying it has to be what they did then, but doing something with the train at Halloween just seems like a natural fit.
I agree with Walt. I was thinking Halloweekends would be a great time to do something with the train. It seems almost too perfect, I wonder why they haven't thought of it yet...
Oh, I agree with that idea whole heartedly. That would be a great time to do something special with the train.

I'm sure it's not an original thought and there's probably a really good reason why it hasn't happened. Maybe if someone from here wins the lunch, they can ask. :)

I'm going to have to write a kiss...I mean kick ass letter this weekend and send it in.

I didn't even plan on entering, but now it seems like I should.
Then, if I win, I can have pointbuzzers write ME a letter stating why they should get to go with me ;).
What CP should do is spend the necessary money to get Albert and Jennie K. back in service instead of spending the money on Boneville or adding any actors along the line. Both of these engines are sitting out just rotting away.

Actually Dorney does the haunted train for Halloweekends. They change the name from the CedarCreek Cannonball to the CedarFreak Cannonball and have actors and props scattered around and they jump out at the train with the noisemakers like Frightzone.
Too bad they don't have an older engine that is not in service. A ghost train seemingly sans conductor would be pretty cool. Throw some skeletons on the passenger cars.

They're supposidly refurbishing the Davenport acquired in the trade for the Maud L. from Disney, and then they'll be making the decision whether to refurbish the Jennie K. or Albert.

Speaking of Boneville... After my visit on Thursday, it seems that the Boneville Fire Department finally put that blasted fire out. Seems that the damage was minimal, but the fire department is still spraying water to the left of the building, and the fence-humper still continues his perverted rampage...
In other words... How long has the fire been out? This was the first trip that I noticed it not burning.
