I see this as more of a triathalon then Iron Man, the Iron Man in Hawaii is much longer.
Actually, all Iron Man triathalons are the same distance: 2.4 miles swim, 112 mile bike, and a full marathon. Revolution 3's IronMan at CP holds both a half-IronMan, and the full IronMan. Either way, it is one hell of workout!

Is there any chance Cedar Point will open to the public on the night of the 10th? I have heard of the park opening to the public for an abreviated schedule the same weekend in previous years. I have a big group of friends and family coming out from New Mexico to experience a Buckeye game and I was also really hoping they would be able to experience the best theme park in the world! I wish that Cedar Point would open Friday - Sunday all the way through the end of Halloweekends instead of closing the one weekend in September.
I know how you fell!! I'm from brazil and I'll visit a friend of mine in Cleveland during the sept 11 weekend!! I just have that weekend to go to the park!!!!! HELP!!! lol =)
Ricardo Roth & NMBuckeye, the park is closed to the public September 10 and 11. You must have ties to the organizations "buying out" the park (Rev 3 and presumably Honda) to gain access. I'm pretty sure that season passes are not accepted at all during events such as this. The park is open to the general public on Sunday, September 12.

Spoke to a couple family members who have worked at the park for a number of years. Apparently in the past, if the company who has rented the park (normally Honda) doesn't have enough attendees, they have opened the park back up to the general public. Not sure if it's something they post on the website in that situation or not.
As far as I know, last year was the first time that happened.

Looking at the webcams now, it looks like a really light crowd. Would have been a nice day to go if you could get your hands on a ticket.

You need to get your hands on a Honda employee first to get hands on a ticket. :)
I agree though, would have been a wonderful marathon day.
