Park Cleanliness

I have to say that i havent been to as many parks as most of you coaster junkies, but i have noticed that CP is the cleanest park out there. BGE ranks up there but I trully admire CP keeping such good care of their park. I went to SFMM and it was so disgusting! I mean nasty! Thank goodness we can be proud of how CP runs the show.
Anyone know of some other clean or dirty parks that come to mind?

Hersheypark is just as clean as CP, but since this is a CP/GL website it doesn't really make a difference.

What are you talking about? How can you call it clean, when it's obviously infested by gazillions of cigarette butts and filled to the brim with secondhand smoke?!?

Brandon

I was asking the question about all parks not just a CP or Gl question. I have never been to Hershey Park, but I heard it was beautiful. Im going to visit some new parks around the midwest, can you recommend some Loopy? Sounds like you know quite a bit.

^ Anyone I'm concerned about knows the winky was (heavily) implied. :)

Brandon

I think it is very clean with the ammount of people there throughout the day. I always see employees out sweeping as well. At SFMM, I just saw employees out chit chatting with one another. I never seen anyone empty a trash can or sweep the grounds.
Like I said, i havent been to as many parks as you, so maybe you can give me a example or a cleaner park to go by.

Holiday World is a beautiful park with narry a discarded tray or tossed-aside cup in sight. And Loopy's right on the money about Hersheypark.

buckeyeminister,

You have to go to Knoebels, Hersheypark, Conneaut Lake Park (providing they re-open again this year), if you can make it to Stricker's Grove one of the two days they're open to the public a year, Holiday World and of course Kennywood.

I will give you a heads up though, this site is really for CP and GL. If you want to discuss other parks you can visit www.coasterbuzz.com :)

Well Kennywood is one that I expect to visit for sure. I have also heard fantastic things about Knoebels. Where is Conneaut Lake?

Loopy's avatar

Near Meadville, PA in Conneaut Lake.

Just google it.

Oh I just got the part about coasterbuzz.com
Sorry about that.

Conneaut is such a nice park, I even went twice last year (the first time, Blue Streak was closed). They gave out free candy and I got a few free tickets at the ticket booth.

So was Blue Streak as nice as they say?

The brakes were on fire one of the mornings we were there, before the park opened. It was the day the Tumblebug re-opened.

They went up with an extinguisher and put it out and opened the ride an hour or so later when the park opened.

That was the day our new Sony 6 MP camera was lost on one of the bunny hills. :( And Jess puked in a trash can!

EDIT: You haven't ridden a woodie 'til you've ridden BS at CLP, that's just my personal opinion though, I'm sure others would disagree.

LOL
sounds like and interesting ride! A coaster on fire!
So loopy, I am afraid to start a new thread, (people get angry so easily) but can you tell me what the plan for GL is? I think they will convert it into a water park only. What's your thoughts?

Loopy's avatar

Yeah, OK...there are threads in the GL section that have hashed this kind of thing over and over.

I'd suggest reading for a while and if any of your questions aren't answered after that, find a thread already pertaining to what your question is and post it in there. :)

So you are saying dont ask questions or try to bring up new ideas. Sounds kinda boring! lol No wonder a friend of mine said dont go to that site. He told me that people were mean and that if your werent in their click they would make fun of you or ignore you.
I love to hear all the news and ideas on coasters so I thought it would be fun. So what can I talk about here? I would talk politics, but I think I would enjoy chatting about some killer rides!

This is a site to discuss Cedar Point, and (to a lesser extent) Geauga Lake. It's really not any more complicated than that, is it?

Brandon

We did Geauga Lake, Waldameer, and Conneaut Lake in a single day trip. With X-Flight and Steel Venom gone, it's even more possible. So I guess it sticks on topic, and on-point for the site.
