Park attendance for this weekend

So I see that CP is offering the bring a friend discount this week, and I'm thinking about taking them up on that offer but am a bit hesitant.\

How busy has this weekend been in the past? I know it's different in it being the only week where Halloweekends isn't going on (after labor day) and was wondering if this meant it has lower attendance than usual?

It is generally a dead weekend with near walk-ons all the way around, or at least it was last time I went (it's been a couple years).

But, just like the stock market, past results do not indicate future performance.

How will the triathlon affect the crowds? Hotel breakers is booked and there seem to be limited rooms on property. We were going to come Saturday and stay until Sunday. Thanks!

Last year it seemed that most people who came with the triathlon were there for the triathlon, not the park. The weekend was packed with walk-on rides everywhere. I recall on that Friday evening Magnum was running 1 train, and we had to wait a good 10 minutes just to get the train half full so they could dispatch it.

I asked this in the General forum, but it didn't get any attention: are there any season pass holders going on Saturday that would want to bring me and my friend into the park on the $14.99 deal? We can give you $20 per ticket ($5 profit) for them! PM me.

Park was totally dead on Sunday. Plus 90% of the people there were probably either a passholder or they were with a passholder for a discount. Cedar Fair will probably take a hit from this weekend.

I don't think CP will take a hit. Food sales,souvenior sales,and all those potential season pass sales from people getting in on someone else's pass. CP is addictive causing more and more pass sales.
