Man, why did CP scrap all their major improvement plans? First it was the fountains and midway, and now it is the Raptor paint job. Did the strike have anything to do with it?

The rust will continue. They'll paint the supports, spine and ties, not the rails. They're painting it because the paint has faded in the last seven seasons (has it been that long?)

So is it being painted or not? Cuz Red Garter Rob says its not ShiveringTim and RaptorboyJohn say it is I'm confused. If it is being painted-thats what I want to see if it is not being painted then I am gonna be pretty pissed because I have been anxious to see its bright greens that it used to have.

It IS being painted. I will have pictures VERY soon. Also I think(not sure) the rails are getting painted...

My information was based on a few weeks ago when I went by.. I'd take Tim and John's word. Seeing how I think John is already at CP.

I think it is. When I was there earlier this week I saw the truck from Toledo. When I looked over at the ride it self it lookes as if the supports were a new shiny green. Even the rusy gray part of the track looked green. Of course this whole thing could have just been the sun. Well, we'll just wait until opening day.

No i am not there yet i start on Monday (16th). But the TL of Raptor Jason said to me on wednesday that they were in the process of painting it, and yes the rails will be painted.

I think Raptor got it first because of the rust issue. They probably figured if we have to paint the rails mine as well paint the entire ride.

I think Raptor neded the paintjob the most. I have a question. How come other B&M coasters dont seem to rust as much as Raptors does? In the rails at least.
