Paddlewheel Excursions

Hey there everyone! I just got hired at Paddlewheel Excursions this summer- because I am "energetic and talkitive". Is anyone else on here working there? Also, any advice... what is it like... anything would help. I love the seasoned pro's advice!!! Thanks bunches!

I never worked Paddlewheel but I worked a similar ride at another park. You have to get into the mindset that even though you are cruising around saying the spiel for the 500th time, it is likely the first time for many of your passengers.

Keeping it fresh is one of the greatest challenges.

Also, don't forget it is a family park.

I was a Paddlewheel Captain in 1995 and 1996. One of the best rides to work on in the park. You get out of the ride what you put into it. Meaning if you are lively and energetic about 60% of the time your boat will be too. Always remember you are there to entertain and do your best to develop your own spiel. Feel free to shoot any questions my way, its been a while for me but it seems like yesterday.
