Packing

So I've read that it gets cold there. Should I actually pack a couple sweaters? And how cold does it get?

More importantly, *why* is it cold in the summer?!? haha

Yes, pack a few long-sleeved items, especially if you'll be here through August.

I don't know about Cedar Point, but on the east-side of Cleveland, we can hit as low as 50 during the summer.

Why? Well, if we knew why, I'm darned sure that we'd try to find a way to fix it. ;) We have a saying here: If you don't like the weather, wait 10-minutes. It can be 80 and completely cloud-free one day, and 60 with rain the next. And I'm not exaggerating, either.

Best packing advice/dorm living advice too: Invest in at "least" two Wallflowers and a Scentbug from Bath & Body Works.

Men...this ESPECIALLY MEANS YOU!! College student plus dilapidated dorm room, dirty laundry, cold pizza and God knows what else equals a smell worse than a locker room.

Be respectful of your roommates and their sense of smell. I know I hated smelling sweat and socks from lazy/dirty roommates! The Wallflowers and Scentbug are the best investment ever and kept my room smelling very fresh and clean. Seaside Escape ROCKS and isn't overpowering or offensive...my personal fave.

I also always brought a bucket, dustpan, broom and bottle each of Mr. Clean and white vinegar if the room got "really" gross...I could sweep up the floor, mix some boiling hot water w/vinegar or Mr. Clean and wipe down the floors so I wasn't stepping in who knows what. It can get pretty intense...seriously! Be ready with cleaning supplies.

Ditto on watching the smells. I've been in some really nasty rooms before.

That giant body of water surrounding the park tends to stay pretty cold till at least mid June and makes the weather do crazy things.
