P.A. Position

Er, please record my vote AGAINST canned ride spiels. Particularly the canned spiels on Blue Streak and Millennium Force. And no, I don't much care for the Millennium Force music, either. It gets really old, really fast.

Break out the microphones; do it right!

Welcome oncoming riders to Magnum Force, be sure to buckle up like ya ussually do, because were gonna take you up 5000 feet and drop you down 4999. Enjoy your ride on the worlds longer, faster, steeper, and taller than that blue thing roller coaster. that was the funniest one ive heard to date.

sure a lot funier than any ride crewers at six flags ohio lol

I'll second the vote against the canned spiels. Before the crews became co-ed, the Blue Streak one always made me laugh because the crew was all guys but the recording was a woman! And I swear, listening to the time lady would be more interesting. It's a lot more fun to improvise! *Grin*

Ah my favorite spiels came from the Gemini crew this year. My favorite quote, please keep your cameras and belongings in the train at all times, CP is not responsible for anything lost on Gemini, CP is not responsible for anything.

That one belonged to the forensicating geminazi! Were you ever there for his...ummm...suggestive spiel where Gemini takes you up 125 feet of PURE pleasure?

9 positions in 4 1/2 hours and still keepin' both sides happy!
Corkscrew's spiel is of course "Crumble crumble crumble, pop fizz his, mumble"

Then the tape stops. The tape made in 1982.

By a drunken orangatan. Speaking spanish.

My fav spiel was CCMR's, doing their lift height in cm and speed in in/s.

I recall reading once upon a time, when I was a lad attending Terra Technical College, a passage in an English text about bad examples. I quote:

"Always express measurements in the least convenient unit possible, such as furlongs per fortnight"

Tim Bretz
"Remember to pillage before you burn"
The CCMR speil last year was the best I've heard! "...Millennium Force has nothing on the CCMR! We are going to take you along 30,480 inches of track at nose bleed heights of 576 inches..."

I also enjoyed the (*insert monster voice*)

That was great. Also, during Halloweekends, the opperator would include about 2 or 3 "Clear's" before you were surprisingly shot up.
