overweight and wondering

I am 5' 6 inches, 56 inch waist, my stomach is an issue but not the rest of my body. Weight is currently 260.

I couldn't ride Mine Ride, the lapbar wouldn't click the second time so I had to get off of it, I can just fit onto the Raptor though. I'm wondering if I could ride the following coasters:

Corkscrew, Mantis, Mean Streak and SkyHawk (even though that one isn't a coaster).

I'm currently in the process of dieting and lost 7 pounds so far.

If anyone can give me any feedback so I don't have to wait in line and be rejected and waste time, I would appreciate it.

Thank you.

Mantis is an iffy, its kind of tricky, the shoulder harness has to go down so far that the seatbelt will click between your legs, mean streak is pretty easy to get into, it only has to go down a little bit to lock as well as skyhawk, and I dont ride corkscrew so I couldnt tell you about that. As far as mine ride, mine ride has the smallest seats in the park as far as im concerned because of the 1 lapbar per seat and all three are connected in a car. It all depends on who else is in your car with you for ex. If you are riding with 5 kids there is no way you will get it to lock, but if you are riding with some stronger people if everyone works together sometimes it will click. Hope this helps.

Thanks CJ.. I'll just have to test the Mantis then when I go. I haven't rode the Mean Streak in many years since it opened, but it shakes my brains to bits, but I can try it again this year I guess.

Thanks for the input :)

Thank you Good,

I tried to lose it last year, I lost 15 pounds but I had to deal with something with my ex-husband and gained it all back, I'm back to square one again, but when this very bitter cold weather breaks for spring I'll be outside walking it off.

It's a new year and I have a good start to the weight loss right now.

Thank you for your support :)

hey there, last year was our first visit to c.p. and i did not fit on Milli. all the way from Texas, and no Milli. but i did fit on Maverick and all the rest. i think definately its the butt that keeps one off of M.F. i was so very close. so anyway, this year i joined Curves and oh yes, this girl will fit this year. good luck.

Coasters....keeping America thin and fit.

Lol factory, that's my goal as well.. so far I've lost 18 pounds. I haven't had the money to join a gym or anything, hoping to fit on something different like the Mean Streak this year. No way will I fit on the MF or TTD.

I've seen some people not fit on MF, but fit on TTD. You
never know what can happen in the next 43 days. Just keep
at it and once you achieve your goal and get that first
ride of the season, it will be worth it!

Thanks CoastMani, I'm working my butt off to get my stomach reduced, but I'm seeing some results, but it can't come fast enough, I know if I walk in the park at Cedar Point I lose about 3-4 pounds right there.

I just wish the weather would co-operate out here in Michigan so that I can go walking on a regular basis, this snow is really bringing me down.

I barely was able to fit on the Chaos last year, couldn't get on WT because the test seat is too high up and I have to jump on the thing to get onto that, so I couldn't try that out (35 years old, so I'm not going to grow anymore). I was so close to fitting on the Mine Ride, but the lapbar couldn't go down anymore and litterly left me sore for a few days because it was pushing down on my upper part of my abdomen so hard.

This year I'll try it again and see, I was very close last year, so I guess I'll find out come May :)

I know this does not pertain to Cedar point, but if you are still having problems fitting the rides at the point due to short seatbelts, go to holiday world they are very friendly to guest all shapes and sizes, and voyage is a great ride.

Thanks KYJoe, but I don't have a Platinum Pass this year, just a regular season pass. Also, I don't have means to travel other than Ohio at this point. Being on disability and only having so much money per month, plus the gas prices, I can only travel to one place this summer, which is Cedar Point.. but thanks for the advice :)
