What does everything think about cp putting LCD monitors throughout the park to let you know of que lengths and if a ride is in operation or not. I think it would be cool so that it helps disperse the crowd and allow you to possibly go to rides with little or no wait while others are hours long.
Uh Oh better run the natives are going to get you with there pointy sticks.

Anyway I think it would be awsome but very expensive, and you would have to get them big enough for a lot of people to see at once and you have to find some way to water proof them AND you have to have a computer for each one or at least a very expensive network to each monitor. So I dont see it hapening anytime soon.

I was just thinking about that when I was up there yesterday. Disney does it, in a way, and I would love to know what wait times are all over the place.
Unfortunately, I don't see that happening anytime soon, but I would love it.

You're retarded, worry about yourself.
I think it will be a good idea. I think they can do it some how so the Cedar Point employees who always wait outside of the queue lines to watch people. They could have a little machine and put in the time of how long each ride is. It wouldn't be that hard.

A Michigan State Spartan Fan!!!
yea the monitors seems like a good idea... i know it would be a very great addition to the park. but like everyone else has said it would cost alot. also i know people would not like it or most people would agree that it is not ever coming back... but i would like to see a fast pass type deal again.
Great minds must think alike. When I was there last week, I was thinking the same thing. But, I thought it would be cooler to have pagers to give out that had real-time information about queue lengths, rides that were open, show times, park hours, etc etc etc..... Basically an interactive park mark. When I get out of line of MF, I could quickly look up Skyhawk and see if it was open. If not, I head in a different direction. It would be even cooler if you could request Dj songs from the device.
Yes yes, I know this would be WAY expensive and not very feasible for a park the size of CP. But, it would be way cool. I guess a cheaper way to do it would be to have a mobile section on their website that you could log into with your own device. Yet another reason to implement wireless on the entire Point.
:)
Cost? This is a park and company that buys $25,000,000 coasters, it just so happens the exact price of the last 3 to my knowledge. And then you have an overall company that just bought out a Six Flags (Geaga sp?) and both Paramount Parks. You are talking about like 3 to 4 big screens that would cost around $10,000 a pop. Thats chump chain and it would boost guest moral on the wait times and would help out with what everyone thinks is a crowded park. It would serve as a very good crowd control for a price that would pay for itself in a matter of weeks. And it's not like they have to be "state of the art" like what e x i t said before, Disney does it and their screens are like 12x10 and they are very similar to digital traffic signals. I think it would be a great non-coaster investment on CP part.

TC 2004. Let the fun begin.

^I agree. I don't really think the cost of doing this would be that much for a park like CP. It would just be a part of the routine improvements for that year, and would make the park even more appealing. With CP being so big, it would be nice to know how long the wait for *insert P2007 name* is before walking all the way across the world from Wicked Twister.
Just because the park has money, doesn't mean it's going to throw it around though.

I would love to see this happen, as it would be helpful to look at before you walk around the whole park to find a ride broken or with an outrageously long line. The costs might be too much though to make it plaseble.
Thrills Around the Corner!
^$40.000 for routine improvements? What do you think they spend during an off season on improvements? That wouldn't be throwing money anywhere. That would be one of the BEST improvements CP has made in YEARS non-ride related. I mean do you really think that, that would be throwing money around? Honestly $40 an admission average attendance 23,500 a day=$940,000 a day. Then you have parking, I mean come on $40,000 alot of money? Throwing it around? Thats a joke. Just my Two Cents....

I for one could see a number of ways $40,000 could be better spent, and I think others will I agree. (Need I bring up the Magnum restrooms? :) )
