Other improvements besides rides...

Watch out, the Space Pirates pinch.

I would not say this is is an improvement, but the safety belts need to be looked at. If they are going to enforce such stringent policys with these things they should at least make them work right.

1. Reverse the clip points on Mantis and Raptor (like on PT). It's very difficult to attach the belts for even for average guest. The restraint's are way to bulky and it is difficult to find, and attach the belts from the inside.

2. Make all the belts the same length. I was shoked at the difference between some of the belt lengths durring Millennium Mania. On Mantis, I got the belt attached with much room to spare. I moved back to another seat and the belt came of 2 inches short and I required assistance. So either one belt was too long (safety hazard perhaps), or the other was too short. Also why are Mean Streaks' belts a half foot shorter than Blue Streaks?

I agree with the same length in seat belts. If someone can fit on Magnum with an adjustable seat belt should be able to fit on Millennium Force. But because Millennium's seat belts are too short it can make the ride quite uncomfortable for those who's blood circulation to their legs is cut off. I myself have no problem with the Millennium seatbelts from a physical standpoint, but I do just barely get it accross and locked in, where on Magnum or any other coaster there, I have absolutely no difficulty whatsoever.

Well, not same length seat belts for every ride but same length for each of the belts for that particular ride. It still amazes me how Magnum is so accommodating while Millennium Force is the exact opposite with teeny belts. I agree they are ridiculously short, but that's how it was designed

Intamin designed the belts to be a certain length and that should apply to every seat. Remember Knotts and Intamin contradict each other. Knotts says the belts on Perilous Plunge were 65 inches long whereas Intamin says the belts are 50 Inches. If all the belts aren't consistent with Intamin specified lengths then Knotts is entirety at fault for replacing belts that are too large.

Some belts on MF are rather tight on me while other are loose. The test chair had a somewhat loose belt. What disturbs me is someone might fit in the test chair, and after waiting 2 hours to ride they draw one of the shorter belts and then can't ride.  This applies to every ride at CP, most notably Mean Streak..

I agree with matt, merchandise needs some help.  How hard is it to make a Magnum polo shirt or a Magnum jacket.

I Got A MF  Polo Shirt too.....

Is it possible that if a belt breaks or wears, that the bad part is cut off and the belt re-installed? That would account for some shorter belts.

On B&M Coasters there are some seats on the trains that have longer and in some cases two seat belts to accommodate riders of a larger size.

"WE RIDE ALL YEAR!"

Cedar Point's B&M rides were not designed with these so-called "big-man" seats.  Raptor came before they thought of such a thing I think...

MDOmis I agree with ya,  JCC should include rerides if applicable.

Back on the merchandise thing, I'm saying just do away with all the glitter and bright colors and cheesy logos.  Like for instance the MF employee hats this year, very cool.  Now why could'nt they offer something like that to the GP?

Maybe because those hats were available, most of the hats that employees have can be purchased somewhere in the park, with the exception of the hats that have the special word "staff" printed on the back of them.

I'm wondering when a majority of the Funway will be renovated/changed. I'm praying the Games bulding or other parts of the Funway don't get the "Six Flags look," y'know, that Main Street USA look. :-( Yick.

More healthy food choices throughout the park, like turkey sandwiches, veggie pitas, etc. Usually all you can find throughout the park is fried and deep fried foods. It would be nice to find some healthy and nutricious foods in all parts of the park.

Selt belts lengths do differ on the same ride depending where you are sitting. It seems that some are longer and some shorter, perhaps due to some belts breaking and not being replaced. As to MF, I think the difference is that some of the belts have stretched some and allow slightly more room than others. Magnum's belts are a lot larger than MF's belts. There should be consistent belt lengths throughout a ride, probably not feasible throughout the park..

floridaguy I think the hats he was referring to (but I'm not completely sure, maybe he DOES mean the normal blue ones) might be the You Can Count On Me! MF hats that employees got on the third level for attendance awards.  The khaki ones with the MF logo that had staff written on the back.  If he DOES mean the other ones, then yeah, they're everywhere, and I always liked those too.

I definitely think a smooth turkey sandwich on wheat with the fixings would be a nice treat before ride.  I can see that happening.  It would definitly draw the crowds of people that like to have fun but not worry about watching what they eat while doing so.  All sorts of coldcut sandwiches and wraps would dress the midways nicely.  Deli pickles!  Now there's an idea.  Get a pickle cut like your favorite feature at the park!

I'm working on it, Jeeze!!
For a healthy sandwich try the coffee shop in hotel breakers in the old new wing, the wing thats not a tower. It has been several years since i have ate their but they used to serve bagel sandwiches.

Some years ago, you could get these enormous pickles from a barrel outside a general store on the Frontier Trail. It was a must-have when we went every year, just like peanuts-in-the-shell at the Last Chance Saloon.

I was at the park today and the Demon Drop & Iron Dragon Station were being repainted. I don't know if the whole Iron Dragon ride is being painted or just the station. Nothing done with Mantis yet
The bathrooms are in horrible need of something.

Maybe do something about all the birds.

Yes, those were the hats I was referring to.  Thanks Ride of Steel I should have been more specific.
