We are heading to CP next week and I am trying to figure out the best way to go about riding the most coasters.
Which lines do we need to get into first so they are not so long?
Usually we start in the back of the park and work our way forward but trying to figure out which coasters have the longest lines.
If you could share your order in which you ride that would be awesome.
Thanks for your advice and helping to make our trip best possible.
If you are staying on resort you can get in 1 hour early so if you do, hit MF, Maverick, Magnum XL, and Raptor as many times as possible before general population gets in. As soon as they do, go to dragster, Mantis, mean streak, gemini, wicked twister, the rest. Should be able to get everything in in a day. Have fun!
First time to Cedar Point was opening day 2009, 7 hours in line for TTD, 2 rollbacks =)
Staying on CP property or any CF platinum pass will get you in at 9 instead of 10am. Coasters open early are Maverick, Millennium Force, Raptor, and Iron Dragon. Magnum opens at 10, not a problem since it's older and has excellent capacity. Dragster doesn't open early either, probably because it can be cranky early and so wouldn't be ready on time.

Thanks for all the great advice. We are home now but we had a wonderful time. We went to CP on Wed and Thursday. We have platinum passes so we could get in at 9am. My husband dropped me and the kids off at the Marina Entrance and parked at Soak City. We were one of 9 people waiting at that enterance. Headed to MF first, then Mavrick and then got in line for TTD at 9:45. Did not have to wait long for two rides on TTD. It was stormy on Wed around 11 am and affected the rides for about an hour. Due to the wind? TTD did not run much of the afternoon but we had our rides in by then. My boys ages 8 and 10 rode all the coasters and had a BALL. I think the longest wait was 45 minutes at Raptor on the first day. Thanks for all your advice and planning, we had a wonderful trip.
