Orange things attached/strapped to fences

Anyone else notice these all over the park on the fences? When I was at the park about two weeks I noticed these.

Do you have a picture or anything? "Orange things" is not terribly descriptive.

I bet those " orange Things " are to mark the 500Ft wooden inverted coaster!

It's the orange flagging (ribbon) that surveyors use. They are tied to chain link fences in numerous places throughout the park and I think along the Perimeter Road too. I can't figure out what they are for.

They wanted to see a new thread on PB about them, because ironically, PB uses orange too! :)

These orange ties are to easier measure the sinking of magnum. :)

Firemen never die, they just burn forever in the hearts of the people whose lives they saved

Clevelandkid pretty much summed it up.

I did?

Technically, it's 'moly red' . . . ;)

I would describe it as Pumpkin Orange. :)

"You wanna, you gotta, you hafta hold on, Cedar Point...HOLD ON!"

I asked a ride op on Mean Streak last week when I was there. Look at the frequence and location of the ribbons.......

I was told warning signs will be going up. This is a result of the kid that climbed the fence at SFoG and was killed.

The CF lawyers sure jumped quick on this one.

^Exactly right. My ride (Mean Streak) has them all over the place. Just signs warning you to stay out. It's in the result of Six Flag's accident.

Lawyers - eliminating the need for Common Sense one sign at a time.

I did notice each ribbon was placed at the same height, centered between fence posts. If they are going to attach signs they'd want them placed in a uniform manner. That could be what is going on here.

I think I heard they must be 50ft away from each other.

These aren't flags. Based on the description, its orange marking tape - not even remotely related to what you're talking about.

Well if it's because of the Six Flags accident, that's somewhat irritating. Why can't people just use their head sometimes? I mean jumping over two six foot fences that say not to jump over them... give me a break. Lawyers do nothing but punish others for their clients' stupidity.

TedFuzz. No longer manually signing posts. Too bad. =(

Why do they call it "common sense" when it's so infrequently used?
