We were only in the park for a few hours today due to my wife and I both being sick, but here's a couple of things I noticed from today (sorry, no rides ... coughing and coasters don't go together :) ):
- Overall, the park was cleaned and ready to go as always. The exception was Johnny Rockets, which looks like it has a long way to go.
- Lots of fresh paint ... Raptor looks awesome!
- Character ride height signs are gone (signs such as
http://www.schmidty.com/cpvirtual/rides/monstersign.jpg ). They have been replaced with sterile signs with tons of safety info.
- We had lunch at the Silver Dollar (where portions were
drastically smaller than last year). No one seemed to know what the correct Joe Cool Club discount was, so we got 10% off. Later found out the correct answer is $1 off an entree.
- Lighthouse Point was a mess. I feel bad for anyone staying there in the near future. But, there is tons of potential. I bet by June, it could be the best place to stay on the peninsula.
- No more homemade cotton candy? All the stands we visited were selling pre-packaged cotton candy made by Charms. What's next, Ore-Ida frozen french fries at Mr. Potato?
