Opening Day, Maverick

Is there any way to avoid trecherous (sp?)..waiting lines for Maverick on opening day? I mean i really dont feel like waiting over 3 hours for it..so any suggestions for avoiding the rush?..and so how excited are you guys for Maverick and opening day?

I am also quite excited for opening day, but Maverick will unfortunately be crowded no matter what. The best thing to do is get there before opening and run there (and possibly use the SC entrance) but you will still be waiting a few hours in my opinion. If you don't want to wait in the lines I'd suggest waiting until later in the season when some of the buzz dies down.

Yeah thats what i thought but like if i wait til like say midday and dont run and do that the line will probably be around what 6, 7 hours??..gosh i really wish that freeway didnt have to go...im really excited to ride it and for opening day though..so im not sure

Well opening day is going to produce long line that's for sure. Just get there really, really early. That's you best bet right now since waiting till later in the day would be a bad choice.

How about going on Mothers Day ( being the day after) ..how do you think that would hold out?

Your best bet is going the week after opening day. I go every year with my school's student council and it is never busy.

6-7 hour wait? LOL!! The longest I've EVER waited for a coaster at CP was 3 hours and that was MF during the AAA preview day.

The only reason TTD had huge waits on its opening day was due to it running only three 10 passenger trains.

If Maverick doesn't run into any issues (doubtful), the wait should be less. It wouldn't be a big shock to see 3+ hour wait though.

Horribly busy, actually the whole season will be crazy.

You should just stay home.

I can't I have been waiting for that day scince the announced the rides. All that fresh coaster sweetness. I can almost taste it now.

I managed to get on Millennium Force the day it opened. I think I got to the park about 15 minutes after it opened. I waited about four hours.
Edit: As I recall, I don't think Millennium ever got over four hours.

As a suggestion: ride Maverick last. Get in line 20 minutes before the park closes, then it doesn't matter how long the line is.

Yep, crazy busy, I recommend you all get the word out that Monday will be insane. ;)

I go on the first Monday of the season every year and this season, I have one less hour to work with.
