Weather: Solid, got a little chilly and cloudy late, but never a drop of rain. Major plus.
Crowds: Crowds were huge! Maverick and Dragster were at the 2 hr wait mark, and Millennium was pushing 1hr and 45 mins. Even Mean Streak was over an hour wait.
Notables:
Mean Streak: Mean Streaks wait was over an hour and I think it may have something to do with the rides off season work. You can see plenty of fresh wood throughout the track and the ride did ride quite a bit smoother. It still scares me a little bit because it does jerk you around a little, but it felt like it was closer to the 'classic' wooden feel as opposed to the hospital visit waiting to happen. Oh, and there were all kinds of broken down STR boats sitting out back behind the queue in MS.
STR: Shoot the Rapids looks soooo nice. It is a beautiful looking ride and very easy on the eyes from the midway. I got a chance to watch a few boats cycle and though it does look like you will get soaked, the splash from the second drop didn't look bad at all. The soaking will come from the special effects.
Magnum: Very jerky. It was more painful than Mean Streak for sure. I even tried incorporating Mean Streaks 'ride stance' on the bunny hills but couldn't wait for the ride to be over.
Gemini: Was very jerky as well, not as bad as Magnum, but too much so.
Down time: I was glad I got a chance to ride all of the rides I wanted to, but just to note, Millennium , Maverick, Dragster, Wicked Twister, Raptor, and Mine Ride all had notable down time that I saw.
Cheese on a Stick: I actually semi enjoyed it. It's champion of the 'foods that will kill you' league. Don't know if I'll ever get it again.
Employees: The employees were super nice. I talked to a few that went out of their way to ask me how my day was going. They seem to really care and be excited, though that may have something to do with it being day #1 on the job.
Dick: I met Dick on the midway towards 9:50 as I was leaving. Got a chance to shake his hand and take my picture with him.
Ride Count:
Millennium x2
Maverick
Dragster
Mantis
Iron Dragon
Magnum
Gemini
Mean Streak
MaXair
Power Tower
Skyhawk
Sky Ride x2

That person whom was in a red Challenge Park shirt from a few years back and made a badge that said he was single rider 4 I think?
If that was who you saw... that is my friend Adam... and well known on these boards. He is just a fan not a d bag. Now deuce.... single rider 2 that is... he is on the other hand.
Just thought I'd stand up for my friend... and state the fact that you were judging based off just what he was wearing and his shirt.
Now deuce we know how he is all the time.
Now I am done.
While I may not be as fanatical as some park fans, I do find it sad when people assume things or call names based on someone's appearance. If a person proves themselves to be a rude and inconsiderate enthusiast, thats one thing, but because someone wears a certain outfit because of their love of the park/ride is no reason to label someone as a "d bag." You can think it's out of the ordinary, or even down right strange if you so choose, but it's no reason for name calling.

True it is not right to judge on peoples appearances, but this is the real world and people do, Im just saying I think its sad what some people go through to get attention. I don't care if they dress funny or not, I get a kick out of it. Any ways every one rips on single rider 2 and other than the bad hygene hes a decent guy, maybe you should go be the name calling police for people who talk crap about him, just a thought.
Let the good times roll
When people talk crap about someone, it says more about the "talker" than the individual being picked on. In other words, the "talker" is the one looking stupid.
I'm too sexy for my harness!
I think it was more opening day than anything. The way the day started you would have wanted to die. Ran to Millennium "Down for technical reasons", I asked the guy at Millennium if he felt Dragster would be open, he sounded sure it may not open all day. Ran on to Maverick, "Down for technical reasons". It seemed like, sure enough, all of the big rides were going to struggle to make it.
Fast forward about 1 hr, and I had a ride in on both Mav and Millie. :)
Dragster went down after a roll back while I was in line for it, for about 20-30 mins (around 6ish)

Yes because I wrote a whole paragraph on one person I didnt know, relax man. I was just mentioning it because I found it funny/sad. In the future I will be more careful about what I say so I dont offend anyone since so many people wear their heart on their sleeves.

Do you know you contradicted yourself there? So, you'll vouch for him (even though you truly don't know him as well as some of us do) but point me out just because I was talking to people (that I knew from the get go) that found my badge funny even though you don't know me? Hmmmm....not following the logic here.
Here something you didn't know, that badge I had on was purely made for comedic value......that's it. I got the laughs from the people I was intending to show it to, and they thought it was funny. So mission accomplished. I have since thrown it away because I don't want to associate myself with the "single rider" shirt wearing crowd. Frankly I find IT a bit more of a cry for attention as apposed to a 2"x1" piece of plastic.
So if you want to think that a guy wearing a bright orange shirt that has "single rider" on it in big bold print who purposely goes out of his way to talk to people about himself isn't getting any attention then I dont know what to say. So I'm glad you felt it necessary to talk to him (which he's not a rude talker I'll admit) but NOT talk to me and get to know both of us yet still label me a d bag? Gee thanks pal!

Im sorry Adam, next time I will formally introduce myself and I will have a conversation with you before I judge you. Ill agree with everyone though single rider 2 definately needs a shower though. Anyways I initially figured that you were some wannabe cp worker who thought he was sweet wearing the badge and looked like you worked for the dragster. After from hearing from you and others it seems like I have it completely wrong. Sorry for the negative post, my apologies.

Hey, it's ok. We're all friends here. Despite my harsh post (which I also apologize for), I don't hold anything against you and I harbor no ill will. I realize you didn't know me or was aware of who I was. Everyone makes quick decisions which are sometimes harsh even if they don't mean it. It's just that I know SR2 enough to know how much of a bag of "D" he can be. And anyone who favors him just gets my goat sometimes. So next time you think you see me, please feel free to come say hi, I love meeting new people.:)
