It was great to finally end the off-season and get back to the point and ride some coasters. The weather was pretty nice and the crowds weren't too bad, especially in the evening when some of the groups left. Since most of you probably don't want to read a long trip report, I'll spare you the play by play and instead just mention some of the larger details.
Skyhawk-The speed and airtime of this ride are a lot of fun. The load time was a bit long, but hopefully they will work that out as the season goes on. I think this is a great addition to the park.
Millennium Force-I was quite impressed with the way the crew was moving fast and making interval consistently. I haven't seen MF ran like that in quite a while. Also, the belts were new and it seemed like the buckle was moved up to make it easier to reach.
TTD-It was running...(need I say more, especially after the end of last season). :) While it did have some downtime, it wasn't too bad, and when it was running they were moving the people through pretty fast.
Project 2007 Site-The construction is a lot more massive than I thought from the pictures posted before the season. Also, I think it's kind of cool that whatever they build will probably come pretty close to the path, at elast it seems that way from looking at the footers in the pond.
Live Spiels-Live spiels were back on almost every ride. It was great to hear that again on Magnum and the guy doing the spiels on TTD was really having fun with it and trying to get the crowd involved. However, like I said in another thread, I think that the MF station seemed kind of dead without the music. I hope they decide to do something like what they were doing on WT, where the music was still playing, but the instructions were live.
Down Time-It seemed like all of the major rides went down at least once. Hopefully, this was just some opening day difficulties and they get everything running better soon.
Misc-I noticed that on Magnum, they had a person at crowd control and they weren't flooding the station. This made lining up for seats a lot easier than it used to be. On the other hand WT had no one that I could see at crowd, so the station was flooded and it was pretty chaotic. Hopefully this was just a result of not having enough early season staff and they will have someone there before the big summer crowds start, or that station's going to be a mess. Also, I think I might have seen some other PointBuzzers at MF waiting at the back of the station for the last train. Me and my friend were waiting for the front seat at close and ended up being moved to fill in the second to last train (guess I'll have to get my front seat ride in next trip). I would have said hi, but I didn't really have time since we were loaded on pretty quickly.
All in all it was a great trip to CP and I'm glad that the off season is now over. I can't wait for my next trip.

Did anybody go on Sunday?

We were in the park about 5 hours Sunday. Skyhawk "Will not be operating today" sign at the gate. Maxair never ran, Magnum down for quite a while, and Dragster had only run a couple test trains by the time we left at 2 PM. Only two trains on Millennium Force for the morning. They had red on the transfer at start up but blue was there when we left.
Everything else was running fine. Wildcat was actually running better than ever.
