Sorry. I heard from someone at media day the CEO said the park would have to expand into the existing parking lot. Ten year plan is to have offsite parking and transport people into park. How, I don't know. Bus? Monorail? I apologize because I thought it was happening sooner. So, I guess a non-issue now.
I honestly don't see that happening ever. CP is already a very LARGE amusement park. The one thing I think they are lacking is some sort of nightlife for the resort population and other people staying in town overnight. They have some space (Cedars and/or Gold dorms) where they could make that happen though without moving parking to the mainland. Moving the parking and constructing transportation would be very pricey for something only used 4-5 months per year.

SV has been running water dummies since this morning. A few rides have been down and TTD is only running 6 people per train. I'm sure the Be Made Whole Again Department will have a lot of visitors today, unless that breaks down, lol.

Steel Vengeance down due to maintenance. Rumor has it the ride had a valley issue, thus running empty trains to see if it happens again.
Millie, down for maintenance, Cough "Cedar Point had all off season to resolve the lift hill issue" Cough but still having problems.
These 2 issues on opening weekend is appalling. They had ample time to make sure these problems were resolved and didn't.
As for the other items, such as Dragster only filling 1/2 trains due to the wind is out of Cedar Point's control.
First and foremost, you don’t know what it takes to get these rides up and running. And please let it be known that operating rides and testing during the off-season is COMPLETELY different than when guests are on the ride.
Empty cycles are ran many times before rides can open. They need cleared by the state too. It’s called commissioning. These rides are thoroughly inspected every day. When a problem arises, they’re of course going to close down.
Via webcam, Millennium Force is running with passengers after a short breakdown.
Via posts on other sites, Steel Vengeance valleyed and now they are currently testing it and trying to open it.
What, exactly, is appalling about this? If they were making no effort to get things going I could maybe see your point, but s#it happens.

I've seen Cedar Fair's profit summary, they can certainly afford to pay little more money to have all these issues resolved before opening day.
Why would a coaster valley, hmm, someone did not put the wheels on correctly. That is unacceptable, this should have been tested weeks ago. Remember, Cedar Point opened a week earlier last year so having issues like this should not even be a thought in anyone's mind.
