Leaving campus around 7:30 or so, we got to the Point at around 8:45, just in time to park in the main lot and walk to the Marina gate. Once we got in the park, we took our time to get to MilF!, with 2 rides during ERT.
After a couple of rides on the MilF!, we decided to walk by Dragster, as it was either testing or operational by this time. As the line was a little long, we decided to skip it, and get on the Magnum XL-200 for some lines without the wait. Unfortunately, it broke down while we were waiting at the stairs, but there was a positive that came of it. Just behind the people behind us was the man I have been hoping to meet for months now, the one and only Robert. Since we were a group of 3, Robert joined us once the ride reopened, and I got to ride next to him twice, once in the ejector seat, and once in the 4th row. On the second ride, he did the trick with his leg on the onride photo, so I had to buy one. Thats another $9 spent on something that just a few short years ago I would not buy.
After saying bye to Robert, we went off to get some food at the Happy Friar and at Frontiertown. Brian decided not to ride Mean Streak, and it was a good thing, as it was the most painful ride on Mean Streak I've had in a while. Not only was it heavily trimmed, it was just painful. Just 2 weeks ago the ride was fun, and leaning forward, was a pleasure to ride. How it went from fun to downright painful in 2 weeks I do not know.
Following that, we went on White Water Landing for my first ride on it ever, followed by CCMR and Snake River Falls. Wow, for my first ride on it in years (or maybe ever, since I don't remember if I had been on it when younger), it was just a great deal of fun. I think it will become a must ride for hot days next year.
We then headed back to the front of the park on CP&LE RR, and got stamps for Mantis for 7-8. We then rode the Million Dollar Midway coasters (Iron Dragon and Wildcat), before getting screwed in the rear. Twice! Corkscrew really is amazing in the back seat. After this, we took a rest, and then went to Wicked Twister, which was broken down. After talking to a cool Ride Pride person who was stuck telling people the ride was down, we headed to Alaska, only to find ourselves back in Sandusky. No wonder that ride is a Disaster. We then did Blue Streak and Raptor, before some game playing in the arcade, as Brian felt a little sick, and wanted to go home after Mr. Magnum and I had a few more rides. After the arcade, we got twisted in the rear, and then went to Friday's for dinner.
Fridays was actually good, though expensive. $5.50 for a single shot of Stoli! That was my first, and probably last time drinking on Point!
After Fridays we headed back to the park, but saw Magnum set up as we were walking. Due to the downtime, we visited Kara over at the screw, to get screwed 2 more times. Who could have thought we would ever enjoy being screwed in the rear once, let alone 4 times? Anyway, after that, we headed to TTD, which had a super long wait, so we went to Gemini.
Gemini was bad, for the one reason that we chose the line for the front. The stupid line would just not move, and in the time we waited for one ride, we could have gotten 2, had we waited for the rear. When the ride is redone, one of the entrances HAS TO GO!
By this time, we decided to go for the title of 15 coasters in 1 day, which we kind of accomplished in May, except that technically, in May, we didn't get on TTD until about 1AM due to the tire incident.
Anyway, we got on Woodstock Express, where a parent was even willing to loan us her kids for Junior Gemini. Unfortunately, the kids didn't want to do it, and then headed off to Mantis to use our Freeway stamps. After too long of a wait for Freeway, because people still don't know how to STAND UP!
Anyway, after Mantis, there was no time left for more spins on Magnum, we finished with Top Thrill Dragster. The crew was great, and in 58 minutes, we were "Ready To Go," and went off to Cleveland, after another amazing trip to Cedar Point!
Overall, 23 rides, 20 of them coasters. All coasters except for Junior Gemini in one day, with plenty of time to rest.

Haha, the leg trick is something only Robert can do. Ancient Chinese secret eh Robert? :)
I was there also. Hit lap 400 on Magnum, rode MF twice, Raptor twice, and everything else.

You did seem pretty excited to see us more than once. I guess you lucked out since Magnum was broken.
I do know I will be visiting you much more often on my next few trips. Corkscrew in the back seat is just great. Even with a tad bit of my head being whipped around, it is just plain fun.

2003 ~ Millennium/Dragster Ride Photo
Another highlight: If you told me at the beginning of the season that I'd ride Corkscrew four times in a day, I'd tell you that you must be joking. But we discovered the back seat this Saturday, and it made the whole ride much better. The bunny hill that gives a lot of violent ejector air in the front delivers some great floater air in the back, and it's great to get yanked over the first hill and through each loop. The last time we rode it, Kara asked us if we were doing a Corkscrew marathon. With the short wait time, it's possible, but the 'Screw gives a lot more whiplash than, say, Magnum.
Also, Snake River Falls is the most effective way to get wet without paying Soak City admission. It's weird that it wasn't until my 10th trip of the year, in September, that I finally rode a wet ride, and we rode two.
Next up: The Big One. Sam & I are spending both Friday & Saturday of the 2nd HalloWeekend, a solid 18 1/2 hours at the Po!nt. It's gonna be awesome, baby!

I am wondering if it was you who let my son ride Corkscrew ALONE. He was thrilled. He was waiting towards the back of the station, and was walking back and forth until he could find time to ride it alone. However; people kept coming up the stair...only intermitantly though...then someone (maybe you) told my son to go ahead and slip through the air gates just as they were closing. I'm not exactly sure how this one was pulled off....but nevertheless....my son rode Corkscrew in the front seat ALONE...the WHOLE train to himself, and he was pumped! When he got off, he was whooping and hollering on the midway that he got to ride it alone...because some nice lady let him slip in by himself! ::laugh:: If it was you...you made my son's day! You see...he did this last year too...however; last year it was because it was the weekend before Halloweekends, and the park was pretty empty. I guess he just wanted that feeling of feeling special again! ::laugh:: Anyway...if it was you....thank you!!! ::grin:: That was nice!!!

Let's play "Find the one-legged seagull"
To exhange, he rode Raptor with me on my 200th flight.
He's a great guy and one of the best riding partners I've ever had. And his leg trick is one of the funniest things I've seen on a coaster! You can't beat those antics, Robert!
