Once again, #16 makes news. Not much this time, but it did say the announcement would be this thursday. They showed some great views from the Gemeni Midway. Looks like it is going to be one killer ride!

I am not from the area (if that is Cleveland/Toledo that you are going to talk about), but we would be one of the last places to hear about something like that here in WV...not unless its announced on like CNN or NBC nightly news or somethin :)

13 ABC. Out of Toledo. Janice herself said the announcement would be Thursday.

Yes, the 13 ABC report did say the big announcement is set for Thursday. They showed some very nice shots from inside the construction site, including the launch track mounted on its supports, what exists of the stations, and a coupple of shots from near Magnum and from Battery Park.

Now I just wonder if the announcement will just show up Thursday morning like they did with WT, or if there will be some big press conference in the afternoon. I hope it's not the latter, I have to work right after school on Thursday. :(

I heard that the news stations were called in for a conference AT cedar point..... so I would guess there will be media onhand. Should be interesting :)

As I've said before, there will not be a news conference.

I would like to confirm the confimation seen on tv that the park confirmed the announcement will be announced on the day after tomorrow, which I can confirm is this coming Thursday.

Um,the day after tomorrow is Friday...

Ok. It's already been a long week here at work :) I'm brain dead today.

I'll second that confirmation of the confirmation that the announcement is the day after the day before the day after the announcement which is tomorrow.

Do you think that the will try to have the circut complete before the announcement tomorrow? They could move the crane out of the circuit today and put those last few pieces of track in. After all...the crane is large enough to do a pull through from outside the circut....just a thought.

Virtual Midway just updated their web site to include the announcement tomorrow.

My dad just e-mailed me the following message. He lives in sandusky, and this was from the Sandusky Register.

"The paper this morning says that CP will issue a press release Thursday about the new ride. It will give name, size and other details."

Woohoo!!!
