Gotta love how the person thats been on here for 5 days tells the person who has been around for 3 years he will get banned.

101 on Magnum and counting...
when i went last week both on-ride photos were working and i bought one and i love it! they are awsome!!! except i think its weird that they try to make it look like your in the first row, i don't like that.
They modified the on-ride photo on Maverick yet again. Yesterday it was one large photo (from the s-curve), and a smaller one (from the tunnel). The larger photo didn't have the fake front of the train, but the smaller one did. Looks a little better then the previous set.
I bought an on-ride photo on Saturday... don't normally but this one was pretty funny (and had my whole four-person party in it) so I couldn't pass it up.
I'll post it later so that those interested can see.
Carrie
I bought one last night and neither of the photos have the "fake" front of the train. It has the larger picture on the left and the smaller tunnel one on the lower right. I rode in the front and in the picture you can't see a real or fake front of the train. I like the looks on peoples faces in the first picture after getting smacked in the face by the stupid water spray right before the photo.
i got one cause that was my first time and i never got one before.plus if you get 2 it's only $20

Goodbye MrScott

I was there on father's day, and the crowds were not that bad. Hey, the line for raptor was 1/2 hour!!! RAPTOR! that line is usually 2 hours long!!!
I was there with my boyfriend and we rode maverick for the first NIGHT ride. THAT THING IS SWEET AT NIGHT! He bought our on ride photo and it turned out great, but some ppl in the photo station said that their photo did not even come up! that is what happened when I first rode it in the front seat. My photo didn't come out at all.
There's a couple reasons for that, one of them being obscenity in the picture. I actually had my picture pulled on Thunderhead for doing horns for the camera. Go figure.
That's a nice short wait for Raptor though. I remember waiting 3+ hours for it back in the 90's.
Goodbye MrScott
John
Why is it that Raptor's line feels hotter than the other lines for some reason? Especially the long switchbacks that go out into the sun. I remember waiting several hours for it in the late 90s, and just craving to be under the shade of the transfer area.

At least Raptor's queue is constantly moving. It would be nice if they put some shade canvas up though.
^^I've always suspected that's because the large steel platform under the brake run that covers much of the queue tends to radiate heat downward. Not sure why it affects the areas not directly under the platform though.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
^ & ^^^ Could it be instead that Raptor's queue is one of the most shielded from wind, at least at ground level? The marina likely helps block a lot of the breeze coming off the water.
Or I could be talking out of my arse.
Brandon
Not to mention the wall that is around the bay side of the queue. I think you may be on to something.

not to mention the heaters underneath the concrete, and the heat lamps!
