"On Review" for 2 months?

Long time lurker on here; this forum has been a great help. I am in a bit of a bind here, and starting to get really stressed out about it (between this and waiting to hear back from grad schools I'm going nuts).

I applied on January 17 with the intention of trying to get hired for Rip Cord/Skyscraper. That was two months ago. Since then my application has been reviewed on JobNet many times, but I have never been contacted. I emailed two of the people who reviewed it with no response. It was last reviewed on 3/5, 3/11, and 3/12 by three different people; two in Challenge Park and one in Park Operations.

Has anyone ever encountered a situation like this before? I can't think of anything on my application that would prevent them from wanting to hire me, but it certainly seems that could be the case.

my only thought is that you may have been too picky by wanting to be hired on a specific ride. Did you let them know that it was just a preference but you would work anywhere they felt they needed you? and would also take a job outside of ride ops too?

i'm in a similar situation, waiting to hear back. I dont want to make other plans for this summer (or even think about it) until I know - but the days are ticking by so quickly! :(

anyway, good luck. i know they had a big mass interview in cleveland this past weekend so maybe they will be going thru everyones applications again - like maybe they were holding off on decisions until this big job fair.

I suspect that it is that I was too picky on my application. I was advised to do this, but now it looks like that may have been a mistake. If I could go back now and change it I certainly would.

I'm in the same boat where I have no backup plans for the summer if this falls through, not to mention this is something I've always wanted to do, and this is likely the last chance I will ever have to do it.

Okay, this is either the weirdest coincidence of all time or somebody in hiring is reading this forum LOL!

Less than 45 minutes after posting this thread I was called and am now HIRED to work on RipCord!
