It was like a kick in the face to CP to see KK running so smoothly and consistantly.
As a CP fan you couldn't help but think "wth?"

TTD ran very well for much of the summer, easily as well as you described KK as running the day of your visit. Both rides have problems, KK was down for about 1.5 months this summer.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Us enthusiasts understand TTD is/was a prototype

Not quite. I rode the prototype in October of '02, a good six months before TTD opened. TTD is a bigger (and less reliable) version.

Yeah, well 6 months isn't exactly enough time to go from prototype design, prototype build, prototype test, prototype debug, prototype re-design, 2nd-gen design, 2nd-gen build. Especially when most coasters (especially with newer tech) are in the design process for a year or more before ground is even broken.
