Official Testing Thread

They aren't testing anything. At this point I think its moved more into the training phase. And you can't train ops without running the rides.

Millennium Force is stuck on the lift.

It's almost like the park is going to open soon. Oh wait, it is! :)

I hope the Behind The Rides "Top Thrill Dragster" is posted tomorrow on OnPoint. I've been looking forwards to that since last year!

Oh and I watched Dragster launch about 4 times in like 3 minutes earlier today.

Yes it did. I wouldn't have seen it launch 4 times in 3 minutes if it had rolledback. The time it takes to roll the train back into launch position and launch it again takes forever!

Yay!!!! It looks like Dragster will be running great for opening day.....hopefully.

Welcome, to Opening day.

Well, I guess they didn't do quite enough testing. As I was a part of the Skyhawk first ride, I was at the par at 7:30am and ended up closing the park and leaving around 10:30.

During my day at the park directly experienced downtime of the following rides:

Skyhawk, Millennium Force, maXair, Top Thrill Dragster.

Skyhawk and MF were minimal, but maXair was down nearly all day. It seemed to be having trouble stopping the ride cycle. We got in line for Top Thrill Dragster at 7:20pm. The sign read 1.5 Hours which based on the lenght of the line seemed about right. However, the ride went down for technical reasons at least a half a dozen times. We finally got on the ride at about 10:20. That is the longes I've waited for TTD since opening day 2003.

We also indirectly witnessed downtime on the following rides:

Mantis, Iron Dragon

Mantis seemed to be down on and off all day while we only saw ID stuck on the second lift hill for a few minutes.

Hmm... I am really hearing mixed reviews. Due to the late arrival of many employees I was concerned that today may have a lot of downtime, while still working out the kinks. Sounds like that was true.
