Arrived with the wife & kids at 5:00. Front lot was 2/3 full, so we knew what to expect. Entered thru the resorts gate, as usual. The park was very busy, so we stayed in the back (between Magnum and the Glassblowing Theatre). Hit Paddlewheel Excursions, for a ride with Captain Jen. Then enjoyed the 6:00 'Chris Linn's Magicomedy' show at the Palace Theatre (my 8 & 11 year-old boys love this show). Then it was off to the Trilogy of Terror at the Glassblowing Ampitheatre. We enjoyed all three shows, but David, who does The Tell-Tale Heart, definitely outshines the others. All of the Edgar Allen Poe shows were filled to capacity, which did my 42-year-old heart good. We pissed away $7 for a bucket of rings for Ring Toss (the Wife's favorite game), then a 2 for 1 Joe Cool Winner's Circle try netted a Scooby Doo doll for the wife (Yessss!) As we left at 9:30PM, I asked Margaret at the Resorts Gate about staffing at close. On another thread, it was mentioned that after close, the resorts gate was empty (a fact I can verify. I often notice no one{even CPPD}, staffing this exit as early as 5 minutes after close). Margaret stated that she & her co-workers are off duty at close, and CPPD is responsible for gate security. At this time, they begin "Security Sweeps", which require a great many officers.
