Our day started on Saturday morning. With my mom being crippled we got a good front row parking spot. We ventured our way into the park at 11:30am and got a wheelchair for my mom and pregnant wife to share.
My wife and I headed straight for the Sky Ride (One of the few rides she could ride) My mom wheeled herself to the Sky Ride Exit on the other side (her choice).
We then hopped on the train to go to the back of the park to catch the 1pm show Chris Lynn. The Oversized Monsters hopped on the train as well and it made for a pretty funny ride.
We got to the other side of the park and were a little early for Chris Lynn. I rode White Water Landing by myself to kill some time. We watched the Chris Lynn show. It was very good. He was very funny and his assistant "Gertrude" was hilarious!!!
After the show we ventured down the Frontier Trail and went into every shop. This killed about 2 hours. If you can imagine going into craft shops, one after the other, for 2 hours, with your wife and mom, than you can feel my pain!!
After the shopping extravaganza we had on the trail we stopped into the Petting Farm. Awwww, how cute! I had fun feeding a goat. It actually was kinda fun. He was following me everywhere I went, it was kinda cool.
We headed towards the front of the park and stopped by the Summer Spectacular Stage to watch the costume contest. Kind of interesting! The announcer was the 'Scarecrow' he was the same performer from 'StarStruck' this year and 'Hooray for Hollywood' last year. He was very good with the kids.
We then headed for the longest line we would wait in all day. Midway Market.
We waited just about 30-45 minutes just to pay. The food was excellent. Not as good as last year. Last year I remember them having Hamburgers and the Pizza tasted much better.
We then watched Aaron Radatz 5pm show. EXCELLENT! I reccommend this show to everyone! We saw the very next show of his, it was that good. After the second show we decided to play skeeball in the main arcade. They were giving out Carebears as the first prize so of course we had to win. I started out shakey but began to win game after game after game. It was fun. I couldn't lose! I won many of the 3 CareBears they gave as prizes for my baby in the belly.
We then rode the Giant Wheel and Space Spiral. Then we ventured to see Monsters Rock! VERY good show as well. My second favorite, Aaron Radatz being number one.
After the show came the one down side to our trip. We decided to go into the Snoopy shop just in front of the Camp Snoopy entrance and it is kind of a small store so we had to park the wheelchair in front of the store and my wife and crippled mom had to walk around the store. We purchased our souveniors and exited the store....
NO WHEELCHAIR.
Some punks decided it would be funny to steal a wheelchair. I remember the number on the side of the chair and went hunting for it. Every wheel chair that passed I stared to find the number. After vigorous searching we found two punks (12-14 years old) on a wheelchair. I began to run up to them kinda figuring it was them that stole it cause why would they need a chair? Sure enough it had our number on it. I walked up to them and stood in front of the chair and said "GET OUT OF THR CHAIR!" They looked at my massive size and got out. I was still pissed and wanted an explanation so I followed them and asked them why they stole a crippled persons wheelchair and why they thought it was funny. Had they been 18 they would have been toast. Grrrr they made me mad.
Great trip besides that one problem.
Sunday was nicer weather and was less crowed. I won many more prizes at skeeball on sunday too!
