As for the cause of death of the dolphins...I seem to remember it had something to do with a disease of the lungs. The size of the "pool" was not a factor in the deaths. Those animals were well cared for. The trainers were with them since day one and the sadest part of the story is the devastation they had to deal with when they died...not to mention they lost their jobs.
The pool had a license that would have permitted 6 dolphins, yet they had only 4.
I have also heard that just the old aquarium (the arcade now) and the offices that were located next to the stadium were coming down.

If you look at this picture, you will see where the WildCat and Sealand were in 1972. The Funhouse would be just out of range of the picture. You can also see a portion of the beach house in the photo.
