DargonZetaQuell, I am currently building one of those out of Basswood, popsicle sticks, and wood sticks. It's of the Blue streak. My goal is to actually make it run a complete circuit.

I've only been to the point twice this summer, due to the fact that I live about 2 and a half hours away, just north of Detroit. The good thing is that my parents are finally confident in me driving there on my own.
I want to start a model coaster from scratch too, but I'm currently working on a model ship. If I do build a coaster I would either make up my own design, or make one of Millennium Force (that would be really detailed with the track in all). Theres a German company called Faller that makes model coaster kits. I've build one, but they didn't send me all the parts to the trains, so it never worked.

im not sure if i am , i just got up and headed to the park today at 10 am ohio time, and got there around 1:30 pm,yet having to work tommarow, i had to leave at 6:30 pm(was supposed to leave at 6, but just had to do 1 more magnum lap on way out)
not a bad day
went magnum, gemini, mean streak,mf(had to wait for front to get my 2nd front seat ride in the next ride after i finally lucked into it under the old system, now im 2 for 26 in front :) ),raptor, power tower launch, and that last magnum lap.
this wouldnt seem bad, but its a 200 mile trip each way.
80/90 had all the nascar haulers heading west on it, so that made the long ride over better.
not a bad day though!
no obsession here huh?lol
oh, and im 33

I've been obsessed with CP for nearly 3 decades.
Me? Obsessed?? NAH!!
(and it would take far too much time/space for me to list all the CP stuff I do/have/said/say to prove that I am NOT obsessed ;))
And I'm 41!!

My comment to someone at PKI yesterday who said,
"I see all your tattoos-what are you doing here checking out the competition?"
my reply?
"no competition, CP wins"
(this while on line to ride SOB)
I think I'm obsessed with CP. That's what I think about a lot of the time. I usually make it to CP like once every two years. When I do go I usually have a great time and every ride is like the very first ride because I don't get to experience the coaster all the time like a lot of you. In fact CP is the only place where I have no worries at all. If heaven is the most wonderful place in world, I'll spend all eternity in CP.
31, and still a maniac. The Force will be with me...always.
My thoughts exactly Feel_The_Force. Up until 3 years ago, I only went once every 2 years and when I did go I took all of the experiences in and never dwelled over anything that went wrong. I love all amusement parks because they are a place to get away from it all. When you're there, you never think about the bills sitting on the table, or your everyday problems. It's as if all your worries disappear.
Since I live almost 3 hours away from the park, we leave our house a little before 6 a.m., and don't get back until the following morning at around 1 or 2. If I don't buy some kind of souvenir like an on-ride photo, all I have to remember that day are my memories. The previous day just seems like a really awesome dream.
CP_Bound where do you live? I too live about 3 hrs. away from CP.
Just north of Fort Wayne, IN.
yes, obsession definately describes me also. i often have the annoying commercial stuck in my head, and i sing it and always talk about cp, and it drives everyone crazy, especially my sister. she is always complaining about me to everyone, but its all good :)

MF Laps - 12
I am obsessed,,, I admit it, I became totally obsessed with Disney world last year and found a few friends who can share my obsession which is a good thing...I am now obsessed with The Point as well. I find great amusment in watching all of my home videos that I have filmed in each park. I have six hours of Disney Tape (and that was just after one trip) and an hour and a half of Cedar Point tape which I admittedly viewed yet again this afternoon. I have no life.

Feeling kruggie cause I'm not at the Point.
Hey guys I made my own Cedar Point-opoly. It's really cool. I have a ride logo on each space and everything. If you want, I can take a picture of the board and money and cards and stuff and post it. That's just one of the things that shows that I am obsessed!

I live 4 hours away and I go once a year or so and all the tension builds up when it is just a week before I go!! Every hour I check the weather at CP and go to the web cam. I watch the video that the Discovery Channel did on extreme rides 2001 and top ten steel and woodies. I think that we all came down with Cedarpointitis. The disease that drives everybody around you crazy!!

MillenniumGurl said she had a Force shirt from her birthday but didn't know if she should wear it to CP...WEAR IT!!! Compared to what some of us wear or do at the park, there's no reason to wonder whether to wear it!
I think people like Jo and Dan would agree with me that it's funny to see someone explaining how they are obsessed as if it's some unusual thing...just because it's so incredibly "life as usual" for so much of us. Sometimes it seems odder to NOT be obsessed :)
