I got my mom to ride Maverick and Millennium Force during the summer, she said she liked MF better because Maverick was too intense / thrilling for her.

I think the prospector said it best:
"It's like riding the tail-end of a twister.! :)

Like I might have pointed out at the start of this topic and many other have pointed out; Maverick is by no means a no thrill coaster, nor is it the more family oriented ride that might have been speculated in 2006.

There's so many great things about the ride that it all really caught me by surprise when I took my first ride on it. Maverick once and for all proved that height and speed aren't everything. In fact, taking a look at MF and TTD you can see what the limiting factors are at such high speeds. Elements you see on Maverick wouldn't be possible at the speeds those two rides go. The faster the coaster goes the smoother the transitions seem to be, which is a good thing.

HUM well all i can say is
Maverick is one hell of a ride. I rode it about 30 times this summer. The first ride i was amazed at the air time you get and all the great turns. The best part of the ride has got to be for me atleast the horse shoe roll and of coarse the first drop.

Maverick for me is my fav in the park

I have to agree with that last guy who posted. Maverick has really excited everybody and I hear about it from other people talking every now and then. When I'm asked if it was any good I say Heck Yeah. In my opinion I rode it 5 times in 2007 and it became my #2 coaster automatically behind Millennium Force. I have never ridden a coaster that has so many quick turns and great airtime all in one ride. What really makes Maverick awesome is that you are launched twice. I'm looking forward to riding Maverick again next Summer.

Are you serious..i cannot even believe any of you are about to complain and say its a " so so " coaster..it is a GREAT coaster...by far my favorite..the airtime hills..LSM launching tunnel..twisted horshoe rolls..curves close to the ground...how dare you people :(

I only have 1 problem with it. The coaster is an awesome ride, Ill be the first to say that. Well worth the wait to get it fixed. Now my only issue, i dont know if its because of my height but those airtime hills. I slam my shoulders into the restraints every time. I know they are coming and i try to hold myself down because it hurts me that bad. All in all its a great coaster though.

The feeling going over the hill is amazing, but hurts me. I am going to wear like shoulder pads this year or something.

Its Great but would be better with the zero-g roll that they took out, i wish it could have stayed, it would have been sweet. But the ride still is one of my favorites.(p.s. queue line music blows)

MF rides= 70+
TTD rides=60+(Rollbacks=0 still)
Maverick Rides=15+
WT rides= 100+
most times at CP in one season= 16

^ I'm probably going to get chewed out by someone for this but... it wasn't a Zero-G roll, it was a Heartline roll.

As far as Maverick goes, my description to people who ask "how is it?" has always been "It's bangin' fun!" I had bruises on my arms from the first ride, second ride I felt like I was going to be decapitated, third ride (and from then on,) I felt like I had my body under control. I can only imagine the amount of force that would've been put onto your neck/head with the Heartline on the ride... blunt force trauma anyone?
