To be clear, the park doesn't "outsource" anything. They own and operate all of the locations, and I believe it has been a very long time since a concessionaire ran anything (is the Johnsonville trailer an exception?). The "brand" restaurants are franchised, which means they pay the parent company to run a location.

I don't believe the "good" fries have changed in recent memory, but yeah, they universally suck at all other locations. The problem even with the "good" fries is that the temperature and cooking is not consistent, the service completely sucks, and I'm done handing over five bucks for them. The last in-park food item I was willing to buy, I'm just not going to do it anymore.

See I could afford to pay for the food IF I didnt have to pay for a hotel room, gas to the park, admission, parking ect and oh yea since I am dad, I don't travel to the park alone. I don't mind paying prices for food if it is of HIGH quality, heck Mickey D's isn't high quailty but its affordable. I know the point usaually has a captive audience in the park, but come on $9.oo for a hamburger combo meal that at most sub par?

Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.

That's my opinion too, I will pay more for better food, but when the quality of food is less than the McDonald's down the street (and that is really bad even by McDonald standards lol) then I should not be paying steakhouse prices for the food.

I understand the captive audience and I can understanding paying $1 more for some things but not $5 or more.

Anyone notice that a couple years ago the burgers were 1/3 pound? They quietly changed to 1/4 pound patties in I believe 2007 but charged the same or a little more.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I'm not a captive market -- not until they institute no re-entry and keep me from getting to the picnic shelters.

Being closed is part of the franchise agreement. If you want to operate a restaurant with their name on it, you have to follow their rules.
